3Then I lifted upוָאֶשָּׂ֤אva.'e.Sa'H5375my eyesעֵינַי֙'ei.NaiH5869and sawוָאֶרְאֶ֔הva.'er.'EhH7200וְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ve.hi.NehH2009אֶחָ֗ד'e.ChadH259a ramאַ֣יִל'A.yilH352withtwo hornsקְרָנָ֑יִםke.ra.Na.yimH7161standingעֹמֵ֛ד'o.MedH5975besideלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the canalהָאֻבָ֖לha.'u.ValH180.The hornsוְהַקְּרָנַ֣יִםve.ha.ke.ra.Na.yimH7161were longגְּבֹה֗וֹתge.vo.HotH1364,but oneוְהָאַחַת֙ve.ha.'a.ChatH259was longerגְּבֹהָ֣הge.vo.HahH1364thanמִן־min-H4480the otherהַשֵּׁנִ֔יתha.she.NitH8145,and the longerוְהַ֨גְּבֹהָ֔הve.Ha.ge.vo.HahH1364one grew upעֹלָ֖ה'o.LahH5927laterבָּאַחֲרֹנָֽה׃ba.'a.cha.ro.NahH314.

4I sawרָאִ֣יתִיra.'I.tiH7200אֶת־'et-H853the ramהָאַ֡יִלha.'A.yilH352chargingמְנַגֵּחַ֩me.na.ge.aChH5055toward the westיָ֨מָּהYa.mahH3220and the northוְצָפ֜וֹנָהve.tza.Fo.nahH6828and the southוָנֶ֗גְבָּהva.Neg.bahH5045.Noוְכָל־ לֹֽא־ve.khol lo'-H3605 H3808animalחַיּוֹת֙chai.yOtH2416could standיַֽעַמְד֣וּya.'am.DuH5975against himלְפָנָ֔יוle.fa.NavH6440,and there was noוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369deliveranceמַצִּ֖ילma.TzilH5337from his powerמִיָּד֑וֹmi.ya.DoH3027.He didוְעָשָׂ֥הve.'a.SahH6213as he pleasedכִרְצֹנ֖וֹkhir.tzo.NoH7522and became greatוְהִגְדִּֽיל׃ve.hig.DilH1431.

5As Iוַאֲנִ֣י׀va.'a.NiH589wasהָיִ֣יתִיha.Yi.tiH1961contemplating all thisמֵבִ֗יןme.VinH995,suddenlyוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009a goatצְפִיר־tze.fir-H6842וְהַ֨צָּפִ֔ירve.Ha.tza.FirH6842with a prominentחָז֖וּתcha.ZutH2380hornקֶ֥רֶןKe.renH7161betweenבֵּ֥יןbeinH996his eyesהָֽעִזִּים֙ עֵינָֽיו׃ha.'i.Zim 'ei.NavH5869 H5795cameבָּ֤אba'H935out ofמִן־min-H4480the westהַֽמַּעֲרָב֙ha.ma.'a.RavH4628,crossingעַל־'al-H5921the surfaceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of the entireכָל־khol-H3605earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776withoutוְאֵ֥יןve.'EinH369touchingנוֹגֵ֖עַno.Ge.a'H5060the groundבָּאָ֑רֶץba.'A.retzH776.

6He cameוַיָּבֹ֗אvai.ya.Vo'H935towardעַד־'ad-H5704the two-hornedהַקְּרָנַ֔יִםha.ke.ra.Na.yimH7161אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834ramהָאַ֙יִל֙ בַּ֣עַלha.'A.yil Ba.'alH352 H1167I had seenרָאִ֔יתִיra.'I.tiH7200standingעֹמֵ֖ד'o.MedH5975besideלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440the canalהָאֻבָ֑לha.'u.ValH180and rushedוַיָּ֥רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323at himאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413with furiousבַּחֲמַ֥תba.cha.MatH2534powerכֹּחֽוֹ׃ko.ChoH3581.

7I saw himוּרְאִיתִ֞יוu.re.'i.TivH7200approachמַגִּ֣יעַ׀ אֵ֣צֶלma.Gi.a' 'E.tzelH5060 H681the ramהָאַ֗יִלha.'A.yilH352in a rageוַיִּתְמַרְמַ֤רvai.yit.mar.MarH4843against himאֵלָיו֙'e.LavH413,and he struckוַיַּ֣ךְvai.YakhH5221אֶת־'et-H853the ramהָאַ֔יִלha.'A.yilH352and shatteredוַיְשַׁבֵּר֙vay.sha.BerH7665אֶת־'et-H853his twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147hornsקְרָנָ֔יוke.ra.NavH7161.The ramבָּאַ֖יִלba.'A.yilH352wasהָ֥יָהHa.yahH1961powerlessוְלֹא־ כֹ֛חַve.lo'- Kho.achH3808 H3581to standלַעֲמֹ֣דla.'a.ModH5975against himלְפָנָ֑יוle.fa.NavH6440,and the goat threw himוַיַּשְׁלִיכֵ֤הוּvai.yash.li.Khe.huH7993to the groundאַ֙רְצָה֙'ar.tzahH776and trampled himוַֽיִּרְמְסֵ֔הוּvai.yir.me.Se.huH7429, andהָיָ֥הha.YahH1961no oneוְלֹא־ve.lo'-H3808could deliverמַצִּ֛ילma.TzilH5337the ramלָאַ֖יִלla.'A.yilH352from his powerמִיָּדֽוֹ׃mi.ya.DoH3027.

8Thus the goatוּצְפִ֥יר הָעִזִּ֖יםu.tze.Fir ha.'i.ZimH6842 H5795becameעַד־'ad-H5704veryמְאֹ֑דme.'OdH3966greatהִגְדִּ֣ילhig.DilH1431,but at the height of his powerוּכְעָצְמ֗וֹu.khe.'a.tze.MoH6105,his largeהַגְּדוֹלָ֔הha.ge.do.LahH1419hornהַקֶּ֣רֶןha.Ke.renH7161was broken offנִשְׁבְּרָה֙nish.be.RahH7665,and fourאַרְבַּע֙'ar.Ba'H702prominentחָז֤וּתcha.ZutH2380horns came upוַֽתַּעֲלֶ֜נָהva.ta.'a.Le.nahH5927in its placeתַּחְתֶּ֔יהָtach.Tei.haH8478,pointing toward the fourלְאַרְבַּ֖עle.'ar.Ba'H702windsרוּח֥וֹתru.ChotH7307of heavenהַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ha.sha.Ma.yimH8064.

9Fromוּמִן־u.min-H4480oneהָאַחַ֣תha.'a.ChatH259of these hornsaאַחַ֖ת'a.ChatH259littleמִצְּעִירָ֑הmi.tze.'i.RahH6810hornקֶֽרֶן־ke.ren-H7161emergedיָצָ֥אya.Tza'H3318and grewוַתִּגְדַּל־va.tig.dal-H1431extensivelyיֶ֛תֶרYe.terH3499towardאֶל־'el-H413the southהַנֶּ֥גֶבha.Ne.gevH5045and the eastוְאֶל־ הַמִּזְרָ֖חve.'el- ha.miz.RachH4217 H413and towardוְאֶל־ve.'el-H413the Beautiful Landהַצֶּֽבִי׃ha.Tze.viH6643.

10It grew as highוַתִּגְדַּ֖לva.tig.DalH1431asעַד־'ad-H5704the hostצְבָ֣אtze.Va'H6635of heavenהַשָּׁמָ֑יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and it cast downוַתַּפֵּ֥לva.ta.PelH5307some ofמִן־min-H4480the hostהַצָּבָ֥אha.tza.Va'H6635andוּמִן־u.min-H4480someof the starsהַכּוֹכָבִ֖יםha.ko.kha.VimH3556to the earthאַ֛רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776and trampled themוַֽתִּרְמְסֵֽם׃Va.tir.me.SemH7429.

11It magnified itselfהִגְדִּ֑יל וּמִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙hig.Dil u.mi.Me.nuH1431 H4480,even toוְעַ֥דve.'AdH5704the Princeשַֽׂר־sar-H8269of the hostהַצָּבָ֖אha.tza.Va'H6635;it removedהוּרַ֣םhe.rimH7311His daily sacrificeהַתָּמִ֔ידha.ta.MidH8548and overthrewוְהֻשְׁלַ֖ךְve.hush.LakhH7993the placeמְכ֥וֹןme.KhonH4349of His sanctuaryמִקְדָּשֽׁוֹ׃mik.da.ShoH4720.

12And in the rebellionבְּפָ֑שַׁעbe.Fa.sha'H6588,the hostוְצָבָ֛אve.tza.Va'H6635עַל־'al-H5921andthe daily sacrificeהַתָּמִ֖ידha.ta.MidH8548were given overתִּנָּתֵ֥ןti.na.TenH5414to the horn,and it flungוְתַשְׁלֵ֤ךְve.tash.LekhH7993truthאֱמֶת֙'e.MetH571to the groundאַ֔רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776and prosperedוְהִצְלִֽיחָה׃ve.hitz.Li.chahH6743in whatever it didוְעָשְׂתָ֖הve.'a.se.TahH6213.

13Then I heardוָאֶשְׁמְעָ֥הva.'esh.me.'AhH8085aאֶֽחָד־'e.chod-H259holy oneקָד֖וֹשׁka.Do.oshH6918speakingמְדַבֵּ֑רme.da.BerH1696,and anotherאֶחָ֨ד'e.ChadH259holyקָד֜וֹשׁ לַפַּֽלְמוֹנִ֣יka.Do.osh la.pal.mo.NiH6918 H6422one saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559toהַֽמְדַבֵּ֗רham.da.BerH1696him, “Howעַד־'ad-H5704longמָתַ֞יma.TaiH4970until the fulfillment ofthe visionהֶחָז֤וֹןhe.cha.ZonH2377of the daily sacrificeהַתָּמִיד֙ha.ta.MidH8548,the rebellionוְהַפֶּ֣שַׁעve.ha.Pe.sha'H6588that causes desolationשֹׁמֵ֔םsho.MemH8074,and the surrenderתֵּ֛תtetH5414of the sanctuaryוְקֹ֥דֶשׁve.Ko.deshH6944and of the hostוְצָבָ֖אve.tza.Va'H6635to be trampledמִרְמָֽס׃mir.MasH4823?”
