11Then DanielH1841saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413the stewardהַמֶּלְצַ֑רha.mel.TzarH4453whomאֲשֶׁ֤ר'a.SherH834the chiefשַׂ֣רsarH8269officialהַסָּֽרִיסִ֔יםha.sa.ri.SimH5631had appointedמִנָּה֙mi.NahH4487overעַל־'al-H5921DanielH1841,Hananiahחֲנַנְיָ֔הcha.nan.YahH2608,Mishaelמִֽישָׁאֵ֖לmi.sha.'ElH4332,and Azariahוַעֲזַרְיָֽה׃va.'a.zar.YahH5838,

12“Pleaseנָ֥אna'H4994אֶת־'et-H853testנַס־nas-H5254your servantsעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650for tenעֲשָׂרָ֑ה'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֣יםya.MimH3117.Let us be givenוְיִתְּנוּ־ve.yi.te.nu-H5414onlyמִן־min-H4480vegetablesהַזֵּרֹעִ֛יםha.ze.ro.'ImH2235to eatוְנֹאכְלָ֖הve.no.khe.LahH398and waterוּמַ֥יִםu.Ma.yimH4325to drinkוְנִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ve.nish.TehH8354.

13Then compareוְיֵרָא֤וּ לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ve.ye.ra.'U le.fa.Nei.khaH7200 H6440our appearancesמַרְאֵ֔ינוּmar.'Ei.nuH4758with thoseוּמַרְאֵה֙u.mar.'EhH4758of the young menהַיְלָדִ֔יםhay.la.DimH3206who are eatingהָאֹ֣כְלִ֔יםha.'O.khe.LimH398אֵ֖ת'etH853the royalהַמֶּ֑לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428foodפַּתְבַּ֣גpat.BagH6598,and dealעֲשֵׂ֖ה'a.SehH6213withעִם־'im-H5973your servantsעֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃'a.va.Dei.khaH5650according to whatוְכַאֲשֶׁ֣רve.kha.'a.SherH834you seeתִּרְאֵ֔הtir.'EhH7200.”

14So he consentedוַיִּשְׁמַ֥עvai.yish.Ma'H8085to thisלַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑הla.da.Var ha.ZehH1697 H2088and tested themוַיְנַסֵּ֖םvay.na.SemH5254for tenעֲשָׂרָֽה׃'a.sa.RahH6235daysיָמִ֥יםya.MimH3117.
