12One day Abnerאַבְנֵ֣ר'av.NerH74sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nerנֵ֔רNerH5369and the servantsוְעַבְדֵ֖יve.'av.DeiH5650of Ish-boshethH378sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Saulשָׁא֑וּלsha.'UlH7586marched outוַיֵּצֵא֙vai.ye.Tze'H3318from Mahanaimמִֽמַּחֲנַ֖יִםmi.ma.cha.Na.yimH4266to Gibeonגִּבְעֽוֹנָה׃giv.'o.nahH1391.

13So Joabוְיוֹאָ֨בve.yo.'AvH3097sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Zeruiahצְרוּיָ֜הtze.ru.YahH6870and the servantsוְעַבְדֵ֤יve.'av.DeiH5650of Davidדָוִד֙da.VidH1732marched outיָֽצְא֔וּya.tze.'UH3318and met themוַֽיִּפְגְּשׁ֛וּםvai.yif.ge.ShumH6298byעַל־'al-H5921the poolבְּרֵכַ֥תbe.re.KhatH1295of Gibeonגִּבְע֖וֹן יַחְדָּ֑וgiv.'on yach.DavH1391 H3162.And the two groupsאֵ֤לֶּה'E.lehH428took up positionsוַיֵּ֨שְׁב֜וּvai.Ye.she.VuH3427onעַל־'al-H5921opposite sidesהַבְּרֵכָה֙ וְאֵ֥לֶּה עַל־ha.be.re.Khah ve.'E.leh 'al-H2088 H428 H5921 H1295of the poolהַבְּרֵכָ֖הha.be.re.KhahH1295.

14Then Abnerאַבְנֵר֙'av.NerH74saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toאֶל־'el-H413Joabיוֹאָ֔בyo.'AvH3097, “Let us have the young menהַנְּעָרִ֔יםha.ne.'a.RimH5288get upיָק֤וּמוּ נָא֙ya.Ku.mu na'H6965 H4994and competeוִֽישַׂחֲק֖וּvi.sa.cha.KuH7832before usלְפָנֵ֑ינוּle.fa.Nei.nuH6440.” “Let them get upיָקֻֽמוּ׃ya.Ku.muH6965,”Joabיוֹאָ֖בyo.'AvH3097repliedוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559.
