24He boughtוַיִּ֜קֶןvai.Yi.kenH7069אֶת־'et-H853the hillהָהָ֥רha.HarH2022of Samariaשֹׁמְר֛וֹןsho.me.RonH8111fromמֵ֥אֶתMe.'etH854Shemerשֶׁ֖מֶרShe.merH8106for two talentsבְּכִכְּרַ֣יִםbe.khi.ke.Ra.yimH3603of silverכָּ֑סֶףKa.sefH3701and builtוַיִּ֙בֶן֙vai.Yi.venH1129a cityאֶת־'et-H853thereהָהָ֔רha.HarH2022,callingוַיִּקְרָ֗אvai.yik.Ra'H7121אֶת־'et-H853שֵׁ֤םshemH8034itהָעִיר֙ha.'IrH5892אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834בָּנָ֔הba.NahH1129Samariaשֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃sho.me.RonH8111afterעַ֣ל'alH5921the nameשֶׁם־shem-H8034of Shemerשֶׁ֔מֶרShe.merH8106,who had ownedאֲדֹנֵ֖י'a.do.NeiH113the hillהָהָ֥רha.HarH2022.

25But Omriעָמְרִ֛י'a.me.RiH6018didוַיַּעֲשֶׂ֥הvai.ya.'a.SehH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068and acted more wickedlyוַיָּ֕רַעvai.Ya.ra'H7489than allמִכֹּ֖לmi.KolH3605whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834werebefore himלְפָנָֽיו׃le.fa.NavH6440.

26For he walkedוַיֵּ֗לֶךְvai.Ye.lekhH1980in allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605the waysדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙de.rekhH1870of Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֣םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Nebatנְבָ֔טne.VatH5028and in his sinsוּבְחַטָּאת֔וֹu.ve.cha.to.tavH2403,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he caused Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478to commitהֶחֱטִ֖יאhe.che.Ti'H2398אֶת־'et-H853,provokingלְהַכְעִ֗יסle.hakh.'IsH3707the LORDיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,to angerאֶת־'et-H853with their worthless idolsבְּהַבְלֵיהֶֽם׃be.hav.lei.HemH1892.
