6So Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֛הshe.lo.MohH8010didוַיַּ֧עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213evilהָרַ֖עha.Ra'H7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the LORDיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068;unlike his fatherאָבִֽיו׃ ס'a.VivH1Davidכְּדָוִ֥דke.da.VidH1732,he did notוְלֹ֥אve.Lo'H3808followאַחֲרֵ֥י'a.cha.ReiH310the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068completelyמִלֵּ֛אmi.Le'H4390.
7At that timeאָז֩'azH227on a hillבָּהָ֕רba.HarH2022אֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834eastעַל־'al-H5921ofפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֜הshe.lo.MohH8010builtיִבְנֶ֨הyiv.NehH1129a high placeבָּמָ֗הba.MahH1116for Chemoshלִכְמוֹשׁ֙likh.mo.VoshH3645the abominationשִׁקֻּ֣ץshi.KutzH8251of Moabמוֹאָ֔בmo.'AvH4124and for Molechוּלְמֹ֕לֶךְu.le.Mo.lekhH4432the abominationשִׁקֻּ֖ץshi.KutzH8251of the Ammonitesבְּנֵ֥י עַמּֽוֹן׃be.Nei a.MonH1121H5983.
9Now the LORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068grew angryוַיִּתְאַנַּ֥ףvai.yit.'a.NafH599with Solomonבִּשְׁלֹמֹ֑הbish.lo.MohH8010,becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588his heartלְבָב֗וֹle.va.VoH3824had turned awayנָטָ֣הna.TahH5186fromמֵעִ֤םme.'ImH5973the LORDיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who had appearedהַנִּרְאָ֥הha.nir.'AhH7200to himאֵלָ֖יו'e.LavH413twiceפַּעֲמָֽיִם׃pa.'a.Ma.yimH6471.

11Then the LORDיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֗הlish.lo.MohH8010, “Becauseיַ֚עַןYa.'anH3282אֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you have doneהָֽיְתָה־ עִמָּ֔ךְha.ye.tah- 'i.MakhH1961H5973thisזֹּ֣אתzotH2063and have notוְלֹ֤אve.Lo'H3808keptשָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙sha.Mar.taH8104My covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285and My statutesוְחֻקֹּתַ֔יve.chu.ko.TaiH2708,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have commandedצִוִּ֖יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680youעָלֶ֑יךָ'a.Lei.khaH5921,I will tearקָרֹ֨עַka.Ro.a'H7167the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467awayאֶקְרַ֤ע'ek.Ra'H7167from youמֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָme.'a.Lei.khaH5921אֶת־'et-H853and give itוּנְתַתִּ֖יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414to your servantלְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃le.'av.De.khaH5650.
12Neverthelessאַךְ־'akh-H389,for the sakeלְמַ֖עַןle.Ma.'anH4616of your fatherאָבִ֑יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732,I will notלֹ֣אlo'H3808doאֶעֱשֶׂ֔נָּה'e.'e.Se.nahH6213it during your lifetimeבְּיָמֶ֙יךָ֙be.ya.Mei.khaH3117;I will tear itאֶקְרָעֶֽנָּה׃'ek.ra.'E.nahH7167out of the handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of your sonבִּנְךָ֖bin.KhaH1121.
