2But Nadabנָדָ֤בna.DavH5070and Abihuוַאֲבִיהוּא֙va.'a.vi.Hu'H30diedוַיָּ֨מָתvai.Ya.motH4191beforeלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440their father didאֲבִיהֶ֔ם'a.vi.HemH1,and they hadהָי֣וּha.YuH1961noלֹא־lo'-H3808sonsוּבָנִ֖יםu.va.NimH1121;so Eleazarאֶלְעָזָ֖ר'el.'a.ZarH499and Ithamarוְאִיתָמָֽר׃ve.'i.ta.MarH385served as priestsוַֽיְכַהֲנ֔וּvay.kha.ha.NuH3547.
3With the help of Eleazar’sאֶלְעָזָ֔ר'el.'a.ZarH499descendantבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121Zadokוְצָדוֹק֙ve.tza.dOkH6659מִן־min-H4480מִן־min-H4480and Ithamar’sאִיתָמָ֑ר'i.ta.MarH385descendantבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121Ahimelechוַאֲחִימֶ֖לֶךְva.'a.chi.Me.lekhH288,Davidדָּוִ֔ידda.VidH1732divided themוַיֶּֽחָלְקֵ֣םvai.ye.chal.KemH2505according to the officesלִפְקֻדָּתָ֖םlif.ku.da.TamH6486of their serviceבַּעֲבֹדָתָֽם׃ba.'a.vo.da.TamH5656.
4Since moreרַבִּ֞יםra.BimH7227leadersלְרָאשֵׁ֧י הַגְּבָרִ֛יםle.ra.Shei ha.ge.va.RimH7218H1397were foundוַיִּמָּצְא֣וּvai.yi.ma.tze.'UH4672among Eleazar’sאֶלְעָזָ֡ר'el.'a.ZarH499descendantsבְֽנֵי־ve.nei-H1121thanמִן־min-H4480thoseבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Ithamarאִיתָמָ֖ר'i.ta.MarH385,they were divided accordinglyוַֽיַּחְלְק֑וּםvai.yach.le.KumH2505.
