4Some time laterוַיְהִי֙ אַחֲרֵיכֵ֔ןvay.Hi 'a.cha.rei.KhenH1961 H310,warמִלְחָמָ֛הmil.cha.MahH4421broke outוַתַּעֲמֹ֧דva.ta.'a.ModH5975withעִם־'im-H5973the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430at Gezerבְּגֶ֖זֶרbe.Ge.zerH1507.At that timeאָ֣ז'azH227Sibbecaiסִבְּכַ֣יsi.be.KhaiH5444the Hushathiteהַחֻֽשָׁתִ֗יha.chu.sha.TiH2843אֶת־'et-H853killedהִכָּ֞הhi.KahH5221Sippaiסִפַּ֛יsi.PaiH5598,a descendantמִילִדֵ֥יmi.li.DeiH3211of the Rephaimהָרְפָאִ֖יםha.re.fa.'ImH7497,and the Philistines were subduedוַיִּכָּנֵֽעוּ׃vai.yi.ka.Ne.'uH3665.

5Once againע֥וֹדodH5750there wasוַתְּהִי־va.te.hi-H1961a battleמִלְחָמָ֖הmil.cha.MahH4421withאֶת־'et-H854the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430,and Elhananאֶלְחָנָ֣ן'el.cha.NanH445sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Jairיָעִ֗ירya.'urH3265אֶת־'et-H853killedוַיַּ֞ךְvai.YakhH5221Lahmiלַחְמִי֙lach.MiH3902the brotherאֲחִי֙'a.ChiH251of Goliathגָּלְיָ֣תgal.YatH1555the Gittiteהַגִּתִּ֔יha.gi.TiH1663,the shaftוְעֵ֣ץve.'EtzH6086of whose spearחֲנִית֔וֹcha.ni.ToH2595was like a weaver’sאֹרְגִֽים׃'o.re.GimH707beamכִּמְנ֖וֹרkim.NorH4500.

6And there wasוַתְּהִי־va.te.hi-H1961alsoע֥וֹדodH5750a battleמִלְחָמָ֖הmil.cha.MahH4421at Gathבְּגַ֑תbe.GatH1661,where there wasוַיְהִ֣י׀vay.HiH1961a manאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of great statureמִדָּ֗הmi.DahH4060with sixשֵׁשׁ־shesh-H8337fingers on each handוְאֶצְבְּעֹתָ֤יוve.'etz.be.'o.TavH676and sixוָשֵׁשׁ֙va.SheshH8337toes on each foot—twenty-four in allעֶשְׂרִ֣ים וְאַרְבַּ֔ע'es.Rim ve.'ar.Ba'H6242 H702.Heה֖וּאhu'H1931tooוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571was descendedנוֹלַ֥דno.LadH3205from Raphaלְהָרָפָֽא׃le.ha.ra.Fa'H7497,

7and when he tauntedוַיְחָרֵ֖ףvay.cha.RefH2778אֶת־'et-H853Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478,Jonathanיְה֣וֹנָתָ֔ןye.Ho.na.TanH3083the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of David’sדָוִֽיד׃da.VidH1732brotherאֲחִ֥י'a.ChiH251Shimeiשִׁמְעָ֖אshim.'A'H8092killed himוַיַּכֵּ֙הוּ֙vai.ya.Ke.huH5221.
