Daniel 2:24-36
24Therefore DanielH1841 went in unto AriochH746, whom the kingH4430 had appointedH4483 to destroyH7 the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH895; he went and saidH560 thus unto him: DestroyH7 not the wiseH2445 men of BabylonH895; bringH5954 me in before the kingH4430, and I will show unto the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591.
25ThenH116 AriochH746 broughtH5954 in DanielH1841 before the kingH4430 in hasteH927, and saidH560 thus unto him, I have foundH7912 a manH1400 of the children of the captivity of JudahH3061, that will makeH3046 knownH3046 unto the kingH4430 the interpretationH6591. 26The kingH4430 answered and saidH560 to DanielH1841, whose nameH8036 was BelteshazzarH1096, Art thou ableH3546 to makeH3046 knownH3046 unto me the dreamH2493 which I have seenH2370, and the interpretationH6591 thereof? 27DanielH1841 answered before the kingH4430, and saidH560, The secret which the kingH4430 hath demanded can neither wiseH2445 men, enchanters, magiciansH2749, nor soothsayers, show unto the kingH4430; 28but there is a GodH426 in heavenH8065 that revealeth secrets, and he hath madeH3046 knownH3046 to the kingH4430 NebuchadnezzarH5020 what shall be in the latter daysH3118. Thy dreamH2493, and the visionsH2376 of thy headH7217 upon thy bedH4903, are these: 29as for thee, O kingH4430, thy thoughtsH7476 came into thy mind upon thy bedH4903, what should come to pass hereafter; and he that revealeth secrets hath madeH3046 knownH3046 to thee what shall come to pass. 30But as for me, this secret is not revealedH1541 to me for any wisdomH2452 that I have moreH4481 than any living, but to the intent that the interpretationH6591 may be madeH3046 knownH3046 to the kingH4430, and that thou mayest knowH3046 the thoughtsH7476 of thy heartH3825.
31Thou, O kingH4430, sawest, and, behold, a greatH7229 imageH6755. This imageH6755, which was mighty, and whose brightness was excellent, stoodH6966 before thee; and the aspect thereof was terrible. 32As for this imageH6755, its headH7217 was of fine goldH1722, its breast and its arms of silverH3702, its belly and its thighs of brass, 33its legs of ironH6523, its feet part of ironH6523, and part of clayH2635. 34Thou sawest till that a stoneH69 was cutH1505 out without handsH3028, which smote the imageH6755 upon its feet that were of ironH6523 and clayH2635, and brake them in pieces. 35ThenH116 was the ironH6523, the clayH2635, the brass, the silverH3702, and the goldH1722, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was foundH7912 for them: and the stoneH69 that smote the imageH6755 became a greatH7229 mountain, and filledH4391 the whole earthH772.
36This is the dreamH2493; and we will tellH560 the interpretationH6591 thereof before the kingH4430.
