1 Timothy 4:1-7
1But the SpiritG4151 saith expressly, that in later timesG2540 some shall fall awayG868 from the faithG4102, givingG4337 heed to seducing spiritsG4151 and doctrinesG1319 of demonsG1140, 2through the hypocrisyG5272 of men that speak lies, branded in their ownG2398 conscienceG4893 as with a hot iron; 3forbiddingG2967 to marryG1060, and commanding to abstainG568 from meats, which GodG2316 created to be received with thanksgivingG2169 by them that believe and knowG1921 the truthG225. 4For every creatureG2938 of GodG2316 is goodG2570, and nothing is to be rejected, if it be receivedG2983 with thanksgivingG2169: 5for it is sanctifiedG37 through the wordG3056 of GodG2316 and prayer.
6If thou put the brethren in mind of these thingsG3778, thou shalt beG1510 a goodG2570 ministerG1249 of ChristG5547 JesusG2424, nourished in the wordsG3056 of the faithG4102, and of the goodG2570 doctrineG1319 which thou hast followedG3877 until now: 7but refuseG3868 profaneG952 and old wives’ fables. And exercise thyself unto godlinessG2150:
