2That thekingהַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ha.Me.lekhH4428saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559toNathanנָתָ֣ןna.TanH5416theprophetהַנָּבִ֔יאha.na.Vi'H5030,Seeרְאֵ֣הre.'EhH7200now, Idwellיוֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427in anhouseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004ofcedarאֲרָזִ֑ים'a.ra.ZimH730, but thearkוַֽאֲרוֹן֙va.'a.rOnH727ofGodהָֽאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430dwellethיֹשֵׁ֖בyo.ShevH3427withinבְּת֥וֹךְbe.TokhH8432curtainsהַיְרִיעָֽה׃hay.ri.'AhH3407.

3AndNathanנָתָן֙na.TanH5416saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to thekingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,GoH3212,doעֲשֵׂ֑ה'a.SehH6213all that is in thyheartבִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖bil.va.ve.KhaH3824; for theLORDיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068is with thee.

4And it came to pass thatnightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915, that thewordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of theLORDיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068came toNathanנָתָ֖ןna.TanH5416,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

10Moreover I willappointוְשַׂמְתִּ֣יve.sam.TiH7760aplaceמָ֠קוֹםMa.komH4725for mypeopleלְעַמִּ֨יle.'a.MiH5971Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵ֤לle.Yis.ra.'ElH3478, and willplantוּנְטַעְתִּיו֙u.ne.ta'.TivH5193them, that they maydwellוְשָׁכַ֣ןve.sha.KhanH7931in a place of their own, andmoveיִרְגַּ֖זyir.GazH7264no more; neither shall thechildrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121ofwickednessעַוְלָה֙'av.LahH5766afflictלְעַנּוֹת֔וֹle.'a.no.ToH6031them anymoreיֹסִ֤יפוּyo.Si.fuH3254, as in timespastבָּרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃ba.ri.sho.NahH7223,

12And when thydaysיָמֶ֗יךָya.Mei.khaH3117shall befulfilledיִמְלְא֣וּyim.le.'UH4390, and thou shaltsleepוְשָֽׁכַבְתָּ֙ve.sha.khav.TaH7901with thyfathersאֲבֹתֶ֔יךָ'a.vo.Tei.khaH1, I will setupוַהֲקִימֹתִ֤יva.ha.ki.mo.TiH6965thyseedזַרְעֲךָ֙zar.'a.KhaH2233afterאַחֲרֶ֔יךָ'a.cha.Rei.khaH310thee, who shallproceedיֵצֵ֖אye.Tze'H3318out of thy ownbodyמִמֵּעֶ֑יךָmi.me.'Ei.khaH4578, and I willestablishוַהֲכִינֹתִ֖יva.ha.khi.no.TiH3559hiskingdomמַמְלַכְתּֽוֹ׃mam.lakh.ToH4467.

13He shallbuildיִבְנֶה־yiv.neh-H1129anhouseבַּ֖יִתBa.yitH1004for mynameלִשְׁמִ֑יlish.MiH8034, and I willestablishוְכֹנַנְתִּ֛יve.kho.nan.TiH3559thethroneכִּסֵּ֥אki.Se'H3678of hiskingdomמַמְלַכְתּ֖וֹmam.lakh.toH4467forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769.

14I will be hisfatherלְאָ֔בle.'AvH1, and he shall be mysonלְבֵ֑ןle.VenH1121. If he shall commitiniquityבְּהַ֣עֲוֹת֔וֹbe.Ha.'otoH5753, I willchastenוְהֹֽכַחְתִּיו֙ve.ho.khach.TivH3198him with therodבְּשֵׁ֣בֶטbe.She.vetH7626ofmenאֲנָשִׁ֔ים'a.na.ShimH582, and with thestripesוּבְנִגְעֵ֖יu.ve.nig.'EiH5061of thechildrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121ofmenאָדָֽם׃'a.DamH120:

15But mymercyוְחַסְדִּ֖יve.chas.DiH2617shall notdepartיָס֣וּרya.SurH5493from him, as Itookהֲסִרֹ֙תִי֙ha.si.Ro.tiH5493it fromSaulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586, whom I putawayהֲסִרֹ֖תִיha.si.Ro.tiH5493beforeמִלְּפָנֶֽיךָ׃mi.le.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee.

16And thyhouseבֵּיתְךָ֧bei.te.KhaH1004and thykingdomוּמַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛u.mam.lakh.te.KhaH4467shall beestablishedוְנֶאְמַ֨ןve.ne'.ManH539forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָ֖םo.LamH5769beforeלְפָנֶ֑יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440thee: thythroneכִּֽסְאֲךָ֔kis.'a.KhaH3678shall beestablishedנָכ֖וֹןna.KhonH3559forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769.

17According to all thesewordsהַדְּבָרִ֣יםha.de.va.RimH1697, and according to all thisvisionהַחִזָּי֣וֹןha.chi.za.YonH2384, so didNathanנָתָ֖ןna.TanH5416speakדִּבֶּ֥רdi.BerH1696toDavidדָּוִֽד׃ סda.VidH1732.
