And theLORDיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068answeredוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, It is forSaulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586, and for hisbloodyהַדָּמִ֔יםha.da.MimH1818houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004, because heslewהֵמִ֖יתhe.MitH4191theGibeonitesהַגִּבְעֹנִֽים׃ha.giv.'o.NimH1393.

2And thekingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428calledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121theGibeonitesלַגִּבְעֹנִ֖יםla.giv.'o.NimH1393, andsaidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to them; (now theGibeonitesוְהַגִּבְעֹנִ֞יםve.ha.giv.'o.NimH1393were not of thechildrenמִבְּנֵ֧יmi.be.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֣לYis.ra.'ElH3478, but of theremnantמִיֶּ֣תֶרmi.Ye.terH3499of theAmoritesהָאֱמֹרִ֔יha.'e.mo.RiH567; and thechildrenוּבְנֵ֤יu.ve.NeiH1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478hadswornנִשְׁבְּע֣וּnish.be.'UH7650to them: andSaulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586soughtוַיְבַקֵּ֤שׁvay.va.KeshH1245toslayלְהַכֹּתָ֔םle.ha.ko.TamH5221them in hiszealבְּקַנֹּאת֥וֹbe.ka.no.ToH7065to thechildrenלִבְנֵֽי־liv.nei-H1121ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478andJudahוִיהוּדָֽה׃vi.hu.DahH3063.)

3ThereforeDavidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to theGibeonitesהַגִּבְעֹנִ֔יםha.giv.'o.NimH1393, What shall Idoאֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה'e.'e.SehH6213for you? and how shall I make theatonementאֲכַפֵּ֔ר'a.kha.PerH3722, that ye mayblessוּבָרְכ֖וּu.va.re.KhuH1288theinheritanceנַחֲלַ֥תna.cha.LatH5159of theLORDיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068?

4And theGibeonitesהַגִּבְעֹנִ֗יםha.giv.'o.NimH1393saidוַיֹּ֧אמְרוּvai.Yo.me.ruH559to him, We will have nosilverכֶּ֤סֶףKe.sefH3701norgoldוְזָהָב֙ve.za.HavH2091ofH5973Saulשָׁא֣וּלsha.'UlH7586, nor of hishouseבֵּית֔וֹbei.ToH1004; neither for us shalt thoukillלְהָמִ֣יתle.ha.MitH4191anymanאִ֖ישׁ'ishH376inIsraelבְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לbe.Yis.ra.'ElH3478. 5And theyansweredוַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559thekingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428, Themanהָאִישׁ֙ha.'IshH376thatconsumedכִּלָּ֔נוּki.La.nuH3615us, and thatdevisedדִּמָּה־di.mah-H1819against us that we should bedestroyedנִשְׁמַ֕דְנוּnish.Mad.nuH8045fromremainingמֵֽהִתְיַצֵּ֖בme.hit.ya.TzevH3320within anyborderגְּבֻ֥לge.VulH1366ofIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃Yis.ra.'ElH3478,
