Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 51:14-27
The LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 hath swornH7650 by himselfH5315, saying, SurelyH3588 I will fillH4390 thee with menH120, as with the cankerworm; and they shall lift upH5921 a shoutH1959 againstH5921 thee.
He hath madeH6213 the earthH776 by his powerH3581, he hath establishedH3559 the worldH8398 by his wisdomH2451, and by his understandingH8394 hath he stretchedH5186 outH5186 the heavensH8064:
when he uttereth his voiceH6963, there is a tumultH1995 of watersH4325 in the heavensH8064, and he causeth the vapours to ascendH5927 from the ends of the earthH776; he maketh lightningsH1300 for the rainH4306, and bringeth forthH3318 the windH7307 outH3318 of his treasuriesH214.
EveryH3605 manH120 is becomeH3001 brutish and is withoutH3808 knowledgeH1847; everyH3605 goldsmithH6884 is put to shame by his gravenH6459 imageH6459: for his molten imageH6459 is falsehoodH8267, and there is noH3808 breathH7307 in them.
They are vanityH1892, a workH4639 of delusionH1892: in the time of their visitation they shall perishH6.
The portionH2506 of JacobH3290 is notH3808 like theseH428; for he is the formerH428 of allH3605 things; and Israel is the tribeH7626 of his inheritanceH5159: the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 is his nameH8034.
Thou art my battleH4421 axe and weaponsH3627 of warH4421: and with thee will I break in pieces the nationsH1471; and with thee will I destroyH7843 kingdomsH4467;
and with thee will I break in pieces the horseH5483 and his riderH7392; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariotH7393 and him that rideth therein;
and with thee will I break in pieces manH376 and womanH802; and with thee will I break in pieces the oldH2205 manH376 and the youthH5288; and with thee will I break in pieces the youngH5288 manH376 and the maid;
and with thee will I break in pieces the shepherdH7462 and his flockH5739; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yokeH6776 of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces governorsH6346 and deputies.
And I will render unto BabylonH894 and to allH3605 the inhabitantsH3427 of ChaldeaH3778 allH3605 their evilH7451 that they have doneH6213 in ZionH6726 in your sightH5869, saith the LORDH3068.
BeholdH2005, I am againstH5921 thee, O destroyingH7843 mountainH2022, saith the LORDH3068, whichH2022 destroyest allH3605 the earthH776: and I will stretchH5186 outH4480 mineH4480 handH3027 uponH5921 thee, and rollH1556 thee downH5186 from the rocksH5553, and will makeH5414 thee a burntH8316 mountainH2022.
And they shall notH3808 takeH3947 of thee a stoneH68 for a cornerH6438, norH3808 a stoneH68 for foundationsH4146; but thou shalt be desolateH8077 for everH5769, saith the LORDH3068.
SetH6942 ye upH5927 a standardH5251 in the landH776, blowH8628 the trumpetH7782 among the nationsH1471, prepareH6942 the nationsH1471 againstH5921 herH5921, callH6485 togetherH5921 againstH5921 herH5921 the kingdomsH4467 of AraratH780, MinniH4508, and AshkenazH813: appointH6485 a marshalH2951 againstH5921 herH5921; cause the horsesH5483 to comeH5927 upH5927 as the rough cankerworm.
