Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 49:16-18
16As for thy terribleness, the prideH2087 of thine heartH3820 hath deceived thee, O thou that dwellest in the cleftsH2288 of the rockH5553, that holdest the heightH4791 of the hillH1389: thoughH3588 thou shouldest makeH3588 thy nestH7064 as highH4791 as the eagleH5404, I will bringH3381 thee downH3381 from thence, saith the LORDH3068;
17And EdomH123 shall becomeH1961 an astonishment: everyH3605 one that passeth by it shall he astonishedH8074, and shall hissH8319 at allH3605 the plaguesH4347 thereof.
18As in the overthrowH4114 of SodomH5467 and GomorrahH6017 and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORDH3068, noH3808 manH376 shall dwellH3427 there, neitherH3808 shall anyH376 sonH1121 of manH376 sojourn therein.
