Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 43:2-7
2then spake AzariahH5838 the sonH1121 of HoshaiahH1955, and JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of KareahH7143, and allH3605 the proudH2086 menH376, sayingH559 unto JeremiahH3414, Thou speakest falselyH8267: the LORDH3068 our GodH430 hath notH3808 sentH7971 thee to sayH559, Ye shall notH3808 goH935 intoH413 EgyptH4714 to sojourn there:
3but BaruchH1263 the sonH1121 of NeriahH5374 setteth thee on againstH3027 usH5414, for to deliverH5414 usH5414 intoH1540 the handH3027 of the ChaldeansH3778, that they may putH5414 usH5414 to deathH4191, and carryH1540 usH5414 awayH1540 captivesH1540 to BabylonH894.
4SoH3808 JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of KareahH7143, and allH3605 the captainsH8269 of the forcesH2428, and allH3605 the peopleH5971, obeyedH8085 notH3808 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068, to dwellH3427 in the landH776 of JudahH3063.
5But JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of KareahH7143, and allH3605 the captainsH8269 of the forcesH2428, tookH3947 allH3605 the remnantH7611 of JudahH3063, that were returnedH7725 from allH3605 the nationsH1471 whither they had been drivenH5080 to sojourn in the landH776 of JudahH3063;
6the menH1121, and the womenH802, and the childrenH1121, and the king’sH4428 daughtersH1323, and everyH3605 personH5315 that NebuzaradanH5018 the captainH7227 of the guardH2876 had leftH3240 with GedaliahH1436 the sonH1121 of AhikamH296, the sonH1121 of ShaphanH8227, and JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030, and BaruchH1263 the sonH1121 of NeriahH5374;
7and they cameH935 intoH935 the landH776 of EgyptH4714; for they obeyedH8085 notH3808 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068: and they cameH935 evenH5704 to TahpanhesH8471.
