Jeremiah 31:2-22
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, The peopleH5971 whichH2719 were leftH1980 of the swordH2719 foundH4672 graceH2580 in the wildernessH4057; evenH3541 IsraelH3478, when I wentH1980 to cause him to restH7280.
The LORDH3068 appearedH7200 of oldH5769 unto meH5921, saying, Yea, I have lovedH157 thee with an everlastingH5769 loveH157: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawnH4900 thee.
AgainH5750 will I buildH1129 thee, and thou shalt be builtH1129, O virginH1330 of IsraelH3478: againH5750 shalt thou be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt goH3318 forthH3318 in the dancesH4234 of them that make merry.
AgainH5750 shalt thou plantH5193 vineyardsH3754 upon the mountainsH2022 of SamariaH8111: the plantersH5193 shall plantH5193, and shall enjoy the fruit thereof.
For there shall be a dayH3117, that the watchmenH5341 uponH7121 the hillsH2022 of EphraimH669 shall cryH7121, AriseH6965 ye, and let usH413 goH5927 upH5927 to ZionH6726 unto the LORDH3068 our GodH430.
For thusH3541 saith the LORDH3068, SingH7442 with gladnessH8057 for JacobH3290, and shoutH7442 for the chiefH7218 of the nationsH1471: publish ye, praiseH1984 ye, and sayH559, O LORDH3068, saveH3467 thy peopleH5971, the remnantH7611 of IsraelH3478.
BeholdH2005, I will bringH935 them from the northH6828 countryH776, and gatherH6908 them from the uttermost partsH3411 of the earthH776, and with them the blindH5787 and the lameH6455, the womanH2030 with childH2030 and herH935 that travaileth with childH2030 togetherH3162: a greatH1419 companyH6951 shall they returnH7725 hither.
They shall comeH935 with weepingH1065, and with supplicationsH8469 will I leadH413 them: I will causeH1961 them to walkH1870 by rivers of watersH4325, in a straightH3477 wayH1870 wherein they shall notH3808 stumbleH3782: for I am a fatherH1 to IsraelH3478, and EphraimH669 is my firstbornH1060.
HearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068, O ye nationsH1471, and declareH5046 it in the islesH339 afarH4801 offH4801; and sayH559, He that scatteredH2219 IsraelH3478 will gatherH6908 him, and keepH8104 him, as a shepherdH7462 doth his flockH5739.
For the LORDH3068 hath ransomedH6299 JacobH3290, and redeemedH1350 him from the handH3027 of him that was strongerH2389 thanH4480 he.
And they shall comeH935 and singH7442 in the heightH4791 of ZionH6726, and shall flowH935 togetherH5921 unto the goodnessH2898 of the LORDH3068, to the corn, and to the wineH8492, and to the oilH3323, and to the youngH1121 of the flockH6629 and of the herdH1241: and their soulH5315 shall be as a wateredH7302 gardenH1588; and they shall notH3808 sorrowH5921 anyH5750 moreH5750 at allH5750.
Then shall the virginH1330 rejoiceH8055 in the danceH4234, and the youngH970 menH970 and the oldH2205 togetherH3162: for I will turnH2015 their mourningH60 intoH2015 joyH8342, and will comfortH5162 them, and makeH8055 them rejoiceH8055 from their sorrowH3015.
And I will satiate the soulH5315 of the priestsH3548 with fatnessH1880, and my peopleH5971 shall be satisfiedH7646 with my goodnessH2898, saith the LORDH3068.
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: A voiceH6963 is heardH8085 in RamahH7414, lamentationH5092, and bitterH8563 weepingH1065, RachelH7354 weepingH1065 for herH5921 childrenH1121; sheH3588 refuseth to be comfortedH5162 for herH5921 childrenH1121, becauseH3588 they are notH369.
ThusH3541 saith the LORDH3068: Refrain thy voiceH6963 from weepingH1065, and thine eyesH5869 from tearsH1832: for thy workH6468 shall be rewardedH7939, saith the LORDH3068; and they shall comeH7725 againH7725 from the landH776 of the enemyH341.
And there is hopeH8615 for thy latterH319 endH319, saith the LORDH3068; and thy childrenH1121 shall comeH7725 againH7725 to their own borderH1366.
I have surelyH3588 heardH8085 EphraimH669 bemoaning himselfH3808 thusH8085, Thou hast chastisedH3256 meH7725, and I was chastisedH3256, as a calfH5695 unaccustomed to the yoke: turnH7725 thou meH7725, and I shall be turnedH7725; for thou art the LORDH3068 my GodH430.
SurelyH3588 afterH310 that I was turnedH7725, I repentedH5162; and afterH310 that I was instructedH3045, I smoteH5606 uponH5921 my thighH3409: I was ashamedH954, yeaH3588, evenH1571 confoundedH3637, becauseH3588 I did bearH5375 the reproachH2781 of my youthH5271.
Is EphraimH669 my dearH3357 sonH1121? is he a pleasant childH3206? for as oftenH1767 as I speakH1696 againstH5921 him, I doH518 earnestly rememberH2142 him stillH5750: therefore my bowelsH4578 are troubled for him; I will surelyH3588 have mercyH7355 uponH5921 him, saith the LORDH3068.
SetH7760 thee upH5324 waymarks, makeH7760 thee guide-posts: setH7760 thine heartH3820 towardH413 the highwayH4546, even the wayH1870 by whichH428 thou wentest: turnH7725 againH7725, O virginH1330 of IsraelH3478, turnH7725 againH7725 to theseH428 thy citiesH5892.
HowH4970 longH5704 wilt thou goH5437 hither and thither, O thou backslidingH7728 daughterH1323? for the LORDH3068 hath createdH1254 a newH2319 thingH3588 in the earthH776, A womanH1323 shall encompassH5437 a manH1397.
