Jeremiah 20:7-18
7O LORDH3068, thou hast deceived meH2388, and I was deceived: thou art strongerH2388 thanH3605 I, and hast prevailedH3201: I am becomeH1961 a laughingstockH7814 allH3605 the dayH3117, everyH3605 one mocketh meH2388. 8For as oftenH1767 as I speakH1696, I cryH2199 outH2199; I cryH2199, ViolenceH2555 and spoil: becauseH3588 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 is madeH1696 a reproachH2781 unto meH7121, and a derisionH7047, allH3605 the dayH3117. 9And ifH1961 I sayH559, I will notH3808 makeH2142 mentionH2142 of him, norH3808 speakH1696 anyH5750 moreH5750 in his nameH8034, then there is in mine heartH3820 as it were a burningH784 fireH784 shutH6113 upH1961 in my bonesH6106, and I am wearyH3811 with forbearing, and I cannotH3808 containH3557. 10For I have heardH8085 the defaming of manyH7227, terrorH4032 on everyH3605 sideH5439. DenounceH5046, and weH3588 will denounceH5046 him, say allH3605 my familiar friendsH582, they that watchH8104 for my halting; peradventure he will be enticedH6601, and weH3588 shall prevailH3201 againstH4480 him, and weH3588 shall takeH3947 our revengeH5360 on him. 11But the LORDH3068 is with meH5921 as a mightyH1368 one and a terrible: therefore my persecutorsH7291 shall stumbleH3782, and they shall notH3808 prevailH3201: they shall be greatlyH3966 ashamedH954, becauseH3588 they have notH3808 dealt wisely, evenH3588 with an everlastingH5769 dishonour which shall neverH3808 be forgottenH7911. 12But, O LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, that triest the righteousH6662, that seest the reins and the heartH3820, letH1540 meH413 seeH7200 thy vengeanceH5360 on them; for unto thee have I revealedH1540 my causeH7379. 13SingH7891 unto the LORDH3068, praiseH1984 ye the LORDH3068: for he hath deliveredH5337 the soulH5315 of the needyH34 from the handH3027 of evil-doers. 14CursedH779 be the dayH3117 whereinH834 I was bornH3205: letH408 notH408 the dayH3117 whereinH834 my motherH517 bare meH3205 be blessedH1288. 15CursedH779 be the manH376 who broughtH3205 tidingsH1319 to my fatherH1, sayingH559, A manH376 childH1121 is bornH3205 unto thee; making him veryH8055 gladH8055. 16And letH1961 that manH376 be as the citiesH5892 whichH834 the LORDH3068 overthrewH2015, and repentedH5162 notH3808: and letH1961 him hearH8085 a cryH2201 in the morningH1242, and shoutingH8643 at noontide; 17becauseH834 he slew meH4191 notH3808 from the wombH7358; and soH1961 my motherH517 should have been my graveH6913, and herH1961 wombH7358 alwaysH5769 great. 18Wherefore cameH3318 I forthH3318 outH3318 of the wombH7358 to seeH7200 labour and sorrowH3015, that my daysH3117 should be consumedH3615 with shameH1322?
