Revised Version 1895
Jeremiah 12:1-4
1RighteousH6662 art thou, O LORDH3068, when I pleadH7378 with thee: yet would I reason the causeH4941 with thee: wherefore doth the wayH1870 of the wickedH7563 prosperH7951? wherefore are allH3605 they at easeH7951 that dealH898 veryH898 treacherouslyH898?
2Thou hast plantedH5193 them, yea, they have takenH8327 rootH8327; they grow, yea, they bring forth fruitH6529: thou art nearH7138 in their mouthH6310, and farH7350 from their reins.
3But thou, O LORDH3068, knowest meH7200; thou seest meH7200, and triest mine heartH3820 towardH854 thee: pullH5423 them outH3045 like sheepH6629 for the slaughterH2028, and prepareH6942 them for the dayH3117 of slaughterH2028.
4HowH4970 longH5704 shall the landH776 mournH56, and the herbsH6212 of the wholeH3605 countryH776 witherH3001? for the wickednessH7451 of them that dwellH3427 therein, the beastsH929 are consumed, and the birdsH5775; becauseH3588 they saidH559, He shall notH3808 seeH7200 our latterH319 endH319.
