Revised Version 1895
Genesis 32:13-21
And he lodged there that night; and tookH853 of that whichH834 he had with him a present for EsauH559 his brother;
twoH3947 hundred she-goats and twenty he-goats, twoH3947 hundred ewes and twenty rams,
thirty milch camels and their colts, forty kine and ten bulls, twentyH6242 she-asses and ten foals.
And he delivered them into the hand of his servants, every drove by itself; and said unto his servants, Pass over before meH1121, and put a space betwixt drove and drove.
And he commandedH559 the foremost, sayingH559, When EsauH559 my brother meeteth thee, and asketh thee, sayingH559, WhoseH5650 art thou? and whither goest thou? and whoseH5650 are theseH7760 beforeH6440 thee?
then thou shalt sayH559, They be thy servant Jacob’s; it is a present sentH6680 unto my lord EsauH6215: and, behold, he also is behind usH3588.
And he commandedH559 also the second, and the third, and allH2009 that followedH310 the droves, sayingH559, On this manner shall ye speakH559 unto EsauH6215, when ye find him;
and ye shall sayH559, MoreoverH1571, behold, thy servant JacobH559 is behindH310 usH413. For he saidH559, I will appease him with the presentH4672 that goeth beforeH413 meH413, and afterwardH310 I will see his face; peradventure he will accept meH413.
SoH3651 the presentH4503 passedH310 over beforeH6440 him: and he himselfH6440 lodged that night in the company.
