Genesis 31:19-34
NowH1980 LabanH3837 was goneH1980 to shearH1494 his sheepH6629: and RachelH7354 stoleH1589 the teraphimH8655 that were herH1980 father’sH1.
And JacobH3290 stoleH1589 awayH1272 unawares to LabanH3837 the SyrianH761, in that he toldH5046 him notH3588 that he fledH1272.
SoH834 he fledH1272 with allH3605 that he had; and he roseH6965 upH6965, and passedH5674 over the RiverH5104, and setH7760 his faceH6440 towardH6440 the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568.
And it was toldH5046 LabanH3837 on the thirdH7992 dayH3117 that JacobH3290 was fledH1272.
And he tookH3947 his brethrenH251 with him, and pursuedH7291 afterH310 him sevenH7651 days’H3117 journeyH1870; and he overtookH1692 him in the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568.
And GodH430 cameH935 to LabanH3837 the SyrianH761 in a dreamH2472 of the nightH3915, and saidH559 unto him, TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself that thou speakH1696 notH6435 to JacobH3290 eitherH5704 goodH2896 or badH7451.
And LabanH3837 came upH853 with JacobH3290. Now JacobH3290 had pitchedH8628 his tentH168 in the mountainH2022: and LabanH3837 with his brethrenH251 pitchedH8628 in the mountainH2022 of GileadH1568.
And LabanH3837 saidH559 to JacobH3290, WhatH4100 hast thou doneH6213, that thou hast stolenH1589 awayH7617 unawares to meH4100, and carriedH7617 awayH7617 my daughtersH1323 as captivesH7617 of the swordH2719?
Wherefore didst thou fleeH1272 secretlyH2244, and stealH1589 awayH7971 from meH7971; and didst notH3808 tellH5046 meH7971, that I might have sentH7971 thee awayH7971 with mirthH8057 and with songsH7892, with tabret and with harpH3658;
and hast notH3808 suffered meH5203 to kiss my sonsH1121 and my daughtersH1323? nowH6258 hast thou doneH6213 foolishlyH5528.
It is in the powerH3027 of my handH3027 to doH6213 youH5704 hurt: but the GodH430 of your fatherH1 spake unto meH413 yesternight, sayingH559, TakeH8104 heedH8104 to thyself that thou speakH1696 not to JacobH3290 eitherH5704 goodH2896 or badH7451.
And nowH6258, thoughH3588 thou wouldest needs be goneH1980, becauseH3588 thou sore longedst afterH3588 thy father’sH1 houseH1004, yet wherefore hast thou stolenH1589 my godsH430?
And JacobH3290 answeredH559 and saidH559 to LabanH3837, BecauseH3588 I was afraidH3372: for I saidH559, LestH6435 thou shouldest takeH1497 thy daughtersH1323 from meH5973 by forceH1497.
With whomsoever thou findest thy godsH430, he shall notH3808 liveH2421: beforeH5048 our brethrenH251 discernH3045 thou whatH4100 is thine with meH5978, and takeH3947 it to thee. For JacobH3290 knewH3045 notH3808 that RachelH7354 had stolenH1589 them.
And LabanH3837 wentH3318 intoH935 Jacob’sH3290 tentH168, and intoH935 Leah’sH3812 tentH168, and intoH935 the tentH168 of the twoH8147 maidservants; but he foundH4672 them notH3808. And he wentH3318 outH3318 of Leah’sH3812 tentH168, and enteredH935 intoH935 Rachel’sH7354 tentH168.
Now RachelH7354 had takenH3947 the teraphimH8655, and putH7760 them in the camel’sH1581 furniture, and satH3427 uponH5921 them. And LabanH3837 feltH4959 aboutH5921 allH3605 the tentH168, but foundH4672 them notH3808.
