Genesis 27:22-40
And JacobH3290 wentH5066 nearH5066 unto IsaacH3327 his fatherH1; and he feltH4959 him, and saidH559, The voiceH6963 is Jacob’sH3290 voiceH6963, but the handsH3027 are the handsH3027 of EsauH6215.
And he discerned him notH3808, becauseH3588 his handsH3027 were hairy, as his brotherH251 Esau’sH6215 handsH3027: soH1961 he blessedH1288 him.
And he saidH559, Art thou my veryH2088 sonH1121 EsauH6215? And he saidH559, I am.
And he saidH559, BringH935 it nearH5066 to meH5315, and I will eatH398 of my son’sH1121 venison, that my soulH5315 may blessH1288 thee. And he broughtH935 it nearH5066 to him, and he did eatH398: and he broughtH935 him wineH3196, and he drankH8354.
And his fatherH1 IsaacH3327 saidH559 unto him, ComeH5066 nearH5066 nowH4994, and kiss meH413, my sonH1121.
And he cameH5066 nearH5066, and kissedH5401 him: and he smelledH7306 the smellH7306 of his raiment, and blessedH1288 him, and saidH559, SeeH7200, the smellH7306 of my sonH1121 Is as the smellH7306 of a fieldH7704 whichH834 the LORDH3068 hath blessedH1288:
And GodH430 giveH5414 thee of the dewH2919 of heavenH8064, And of the fatness of the earthH776, And plentyH7230 of corn and wineH8492:
Let peoplesH5971 serveH5647 thee, And nationsH5971 bowH7812 downH7812 to thee: Be lordH1376 over thy brethrenH251, And let thy mother’sH517 sonsH1121 bowH7812 downH7812 to thee: CursedH779 be every one that curseth thee, And blessedH1288 be every one that blesseth thee.
And it cameH935 to passH935, as soonH389 as IsaacH3327 had madeH1961 an endH3615 of blessingH1288 JacobH3290, and JacobH3290 was yet scarce goneH3318 outH3318 from the presenceH6440 of IsaacH3327 his fatherH1, that EsauH6215 his brotherH251 cameH935 in from his hunting.
And he also madeH6213 savoury meat, and broughtH935 it unto his fatherH1; and he saidH559 unto his fatherH1, LetH5315 my fatherH1 ariseH6965, and eatH398 of his son’sH1121 venison, that thy soulH5315 may blessH1288 meH5315.
And IsaacH3327 his fatherH1 saidH559 unto him, Who art thou? And he saidH559, I am thy sonH1121, thy firstbornH1060, EsauH6215.
And IsaacH3327 trembledH2729 veryH3966 exceedinglyH3966, and saidH559, Who then is he that hath takenH1961 venison, and broughtH935 it meH935, and I have eatenH398 of allH3605 beforeH2962 thou camest, and have blessedH1288 him? yea, and he shall be blessedH1288.
When EsauH6215 heardH8085 the wordsH1697 of his fatherH1, he criedH6817 with an exceedingH3966 greatH1419 and bitterH4751 cryH6818, and saidH559 unto his fatherH1, BlessH1288 meH589, evenH1571 meH589 also, O my fatherH1.
And he saidH559, Thy brotherH251 cameH935 with guile, and hath takenH3947 awayH3947 thy blessingH1293.
And he saidH559, Is notH3808 he rightly namedH8034 JacobH3290? for he hath supplantedH6117 meH7121 theseH2088 twoH3947 timesH6471: he tookH3947 awayH3947 my birthrightH1062; and, beholdH2009, nowH6258 he hath takenH3947 awayH3947 my blessingH1293. And he saidH559, Hast thou notH3808 reservedH680 a blessingH1293 for meH7121?
And IsaacH3327 answeredH559 and saidH559 unto EsauH6215, BeholdH2005, I have madeH6213 him thy lordH1376, and allH3605 his brethrenH251 have I givenH5414 to him for servantsH5650; and with corn and wineH8492 have I sustainedH5564 him: and whatH4100 then shall I doH6213 for thee, my sonH1121?
And EsauH6215 saidH559 unto his fatherH1, Hast thou but one blessingH1293, my fatherH1? blessH1288 meH413, evenH1571 meH413 also, O my fatherH1. And EsauH6215 liftedH5375 upH5375 his voiceH6963, and weptH1058.
And IsaacH3327 his fatherH1 answeredH559 and saidH559 unto him, BeholdH2009, of the fatness of the earthH776 shall be thy dwellingH4186, And of the dewH2919 of heavenH8064 from aboveH5921;
And by thy swordH2719 shalt thou liveH2421, and thou shalt serveH5647 thy brotherH251; And it shall comeH1961 to passH1961 when thou shalt breakH6561 looseH5921, That thou shalt shake his yokeH5923 from offH5921 thy neckH6677.
