Revised Version 1895
Genesis 25:20-28
and IsaacH3327 was fortyH705 yearsH8141 oldH1121 when he tookH3947 RebekahH7259, the daughterH1323 of BethuelH1328 the SyrianH761 of Paddan-aramH6307, the sisterH269 of LabanH3837 the SyrianH761, to be his wifeH802.
And IsaacH3327 entreatedH6279 the LORDH3068 for his wifeH802, becauseH3588 sheH1931 was barrenH6135: and the LORDH3068 was entreatedH6279 of him, and RebekahH7259 his wifeH802 conceivedH2029.
And the childrenH1121 struggledH7533 togetherH7533 withinH7130 herH518; and sheH518 saidH559, IfH518 it be soH3651, wherefore doH4100 I liveH7130? And sheH518 went to inquireH1875 of the LORDH3068.
And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto herH559, TwoH8147 nationsH1471 are in thy wombH990, And twoH8147 peoplesH3816 shall be separatedH6504 even from thy bowelsH4578: And the one peopleH1471 shall be strongerH553 thanH7227 the otherH8147 peopleH1471; And the elder shall serveH5647 the youngerH6810.
And when herH4390 daysH3117 to be deliveredH3205 were fulfilledH4390, beholdH2009, there were twinsH8380 in herH4390 wombH990.
And the firstH7223 cameH3318 forthH3318 redH132, allH3605 over like an hairyH8181 garmentH155; and they calledH7121 his nameH8034 EsauH6215.
And afterH310 that cameH3318 forthH3318 his brotherH251, and his handH3027 had holdH270 on Esau’sH6215 heelH6119; and his nameH8034 was calledH7121 JacobH3290: and IsaacH3327 was threescore yearsH8141 oldH1121 when sheH7121 bare them.
And the boysH5288 grewH1431: and EsauH6215 was a cunning hunterH6718, a manH376 of the fieldH7704; and JacobH3290 was a plain manH376, dwellingH3427 in tentsH168.
NowH3588 IsaacH3327 lovedH157 EsauH6215, becauseH3588 he did eat of his venison: and RebekahH7259 lovedH157 JacobH3290.
