Deuteronomy 5:4-22
The LORDH3068 spake with youH6440 faceH6440 to faceH6440 in the mountH2022 outH6440 of the midstH8432 of the fireH784,
(I stoodH5975 betweenH996 the LORDH3068 and youH3588 at that time, to shew youH3588 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068: for ye were afraidH3372 becauseH3588 of the fireH784, and wentH5927 notH3808 upH5927 intoH996 the mountH2022;) sayingH559,
I am the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, whichH834 broughtH3318 thee outH3318 of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, outH3318 of the houseH1004 of bondageH5650.
Thou shalt have noneH3808 otherH312 godsH430 beforeH6440 meH6440.
Thou shalt notH3808 makeH6213 unto thee a gravenH6459 imageH6459, the likenessH8544 of anyH3605 formH8544 that is in heavenH8064 aboveH4605, or that is in the earthH776 beneathH8478, or that is in the waterH4325 underH8478 the earthH776:
thou shalt notH3808 bowH7812 downH7812 thyself unto them, norH3808 serveH5647 them: for I the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 am a jealousH7067 GodH430, visitingH6485 the iniquityH5771 of the fathersH1 uponH5921 the childrenH1121, and uponH5921 the thirdH8029 and uponH5921 the fourthH7256 generationH8029 of them that hateH8130 meH5921;
and shewing mercy unto thousandsH505, of them that loveH157 meH8104 and keepH8104 my commandmentsH4687.
Thou shalt notH3808 takeH5375 the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 in vainH7723: for the LORDH3068 will notH3808 hold him guiltless that taketh his nameH8034 in vainH7723.
ObserveH8104 the sabbathH7676 dayH3117, to keepH8104 it holyH6942, as the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee.
SixH8337 daysH3117 shalt thou labour, and doH6213 allH3605 thy workH4399:
but the seventhH7637 dayH3117 is a sabbathH7676 unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430: in it thou shalt notH3808 doH6213 anyH3605 workH4399, thou, norH3808 thy sonH1121, norH3808 thy daughterH1323, norH3808 thy manservant norH3808 thy maidservantH519, norH3808 thine oxH7794, norH3808 thine ass, norH3808 anyH3605 of thy cattleH929, norH3808 thy strangerH1616 that is within thy gatesH8179; that thy manservant and thy maidservantH519 may restH5117 as wellH834 as thou.
And thou shalt rememberH2142 that thou wast a servantH5650 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 broughtH3318 thee outH3318 thence by a mightyH2389 handH3027 and by a stretchedH5186 outH3318 armH2220: therefore the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee to keepH6213 the sabbathH7676 dayH3117.
Honour thy fatherH1 and thy motherH517, as the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680 thee: that thy daysH3117 may be longH3117, and that it may goH3190 wellH3190 with thee, uponH5921 the landH127 whichH834 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 giveth thee.
Thou shalt do noH3808 murderH7523.
NeitherH3808 shalt thou commitH5003 adulteryH5003.
NeitherH3808 shalt thou stealH1589.
NeitherH3808 shalt thou bear falseH7723 witnessH5707 againstH7453 thy neighbour.
NeitherH3808 shalt thou covetH2530 thy neighbour’s wifeH802; neitherH3808 shalt thou desireH183 thy neighbour’s houseH1004, his fieldH7704, or his manservant, or his maidservantH519, his oxH7794, or his ass, or anyH3605 thingH3605 that is thy neighbour’s.
TheseH428 wordsH1697 the LORDH3068 spake unto allH3605 your assemblyH6951 in the mountH2022 outH5921 of the midstH8432 of the fireH784, of the cloudH6051, and of the thickH6205 darknessH6205, with a greatH1419 voiceH6963: and he addedH3254 noH3808 moreH3254. And he wroteH3789 them uponH5921 twoH8147 tables of stoneH68, and gaveH5414 them unto meH413.
