Deuteronomy 10
Revised Version 1895
1At that time the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto meH413, Hew thee twoH8147 tables of stoneH68 like unto the firstH7223, and comeH5927 upH5927 unto meH413 intoH413 the mountH2022, and makeH6213 thee an arkH727 of woodH6086. 2And I will writeH3789 on the tables the wordsH1697 that were on the firstH7223 tables whichH834 thou brakest, and thou shalt putH7760 them in the arkH727. 3SoH6213 I madeH6213 an arkH727 of acaciaH7848 woodH6086, and hewed twoH8147 tables of stoneH68 like unto the firstH7223, and wentH5927 upH5927 intoH3027 the mountH2022, having the twoH8147 tables in mine handH3027. 4And he wroteH3789 on the tables, accordingH5921 to the firstH7223 writingH4385, the tenH6235 commandmentsH1697, whichH834 the LORDH3068 spake unto youH834 in the mountH2022 outH5921 of the midstH8432 of the fireH784 in the dayH3117 of the assemblyH6951: and the LORDH3068 gaveH5414 them unto meH413. 5And I turnedH6437 and cameH1961 downH3381 from the mountH2022, and putH7760 the tables in the arkH727 whichH834 I had madeH6213; and there they be, as the LORDH3068 commandedH6680 meH4480. 6(And the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 journeyedH5265 from BeerothH885 Bene-jaakanH885 to MoserahH4149: there AaronH175 diedH4191, and there he was buriedH6912; and EleazarH499 his sonH1121 ministeredH3547 in the priest’s office in his steadH8478. 7From thence they journeyedH5265 unto GudgodahH1412; and from GudgodahH1412 to JotbathahH3193, a landH776 of brooks of waterH4325. 8At that time the LORDH3068 separatedH914 the tribeH7626 of LeviH3878, to bearH5375 the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068, to standH5975 beforeH6440 the LORDH3068 to ministerH8334 unto him, and to blessH1288 in his nameH8034, unto this dayH3117. 9Wherefore LeviH3881 hath noH3808 portionH2506 norH3808 inheritanceH5159 with his brethrenH251; the LORDH3068 is his inheritanceH5159, accordingH5921 as the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 spake unto him.) 10And I stayedH5975 in the mountH2022, as at the firstH7223 time, fortyH705 daysH3117 and fortyH705 nightsH3915: and the LORDH3068 hearkened unto meH413 that time also; the LORDH3068 would notH3808 destroyH7843 thee. 11And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto meH413, AriseH6965, takeH3423 thy journeyH4550 beforeH6440 the peopleH5971; and they shall goH935 in and possessH3423 the landH776, whichH834 I sware unto their fathersH1 to giveH5414 unto them. 12And nowH6258, IsraelH3478, whatH4100 doth the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 requireH7592 of thee, but to fearH3372 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to walkH1870 in allH3605 his waysH1870, and to loveH157 him, and to serveH5647 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 with allH3605 thy heartH3824 and with allH3605 thy soulH5315, 13to keepH8104 the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068, and his statutesH2708, whichH834 I commandH6680 thee this dayH3117 for thy goodH2896? 14BeholdH2005, unto the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 belongeth the heavenH8064, and the heavenH8064 of heavensH8064, the earthH776, with allH3605 that therein is. 15OnlyH7535 the LORDH3068 had a delight in thy fathersH1 to loveH157 them, and he choseH977 their seedH2233 afterH310 them, evenH853 youH3605 above allH3605 peoplesH5971, as at this dayH3117. 16CircumciseH4135 therefore the foreskinH6190 of your heartH3824, and be noH3808 moreH5750 stiffnecked. 17For the LORDH3068 your GodH430, he is GodH430 of godsH430, and LordH3068 of lordsH136, the greatH1419 GodH430, the mightyH1368, and the terrible, whichH834 regardeth notH3808 persons, norH3808 taketh rewardH7810. 18He doth executeH5414 the judgmentH4941 of the fatherlessH3490 and widowH490, and loveth the strangerH1616, in givingH5414 him foodH3899 and raiment. 19LoveH157 ye therefore the strangerH1616: for ye were strangersH1616 in the landH776 of EgyptH4714. 20Thou shalt fearH3372 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430; him shalt thou serveH5647; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his nameH8034 shalt thou swearH7650. 21He is thy praiseH8416, and he is thy GodH430, that hath doneH6213 for thee theseH428 greatH1419 and terrible things, whichH834 thine eyesH5869 have seenH7200. 22Thy fathersH1 wentH3381 downH3381 intoH4714 EgyptH4714 with threescore and ten personsH5315; and nowH6258 the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath madeH7760 thee as the starsH3556 of heavenH8064 for multitudeH7230.
