Samuel 9:1-14
NowH1961 there was a manH376 of Benjamin, whoseH1121 nameH8034 was KishH7027, the sonH1121 of AbielH22, the sonH1121 of Zeror, the sonH1121 of BecorathH1064, the sonH1121 of Aphiah, the sonH1121 of a Benjamite, a mightyH1368 manH376 of valour.
And he had a sonH1121, whoseH1121 nameH8034 was SaulH7586, a youngH1121 manH376 and a goodly: and there was notH369 among the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 a goodlier personH376 thanH4480 he: from his shouldersH7926 and upwardH4605 he was higherH4605 thanH4480 anyH3605 of the peopleH5971.
And the asses of KishH7027 Saul’sH7586 fatherH1 were lostH6. And KishH7027 saidH559 to SaulH7586 his sonH1121, TakeH3947 nowH4994 one of the servantsH5288 with thee, and ariseH6965, goH6965 seekH1245 the asses.
And he passedH5674 throughH5674 the hillH2022 countryH2022 of EphraimH669, and passedH5674 throughH5674 the landH776 of ShalishahH8031, but they foundH4672 them notH3808: then they passedH5674 throughH5674 the landH776 of ShaalimH8171, and there they were notH3808: and he passedH5674 throughH5674 the landH776 of the Benjamites, but they foundH4672 them notH3808.
When they were comeH935 to the landH776 of ZuphH6689, SaulH7586 saidH559 to his servantH5288 that was with him, ComeH935 and letH2308 usH7725 returnH7725; lestH6435 my fatherH1 leaveH2308 caring for the asses, and takeH7725 thoughtH559 for usH7725.
And he saidH559 unto him, BeholdH2009 nowH6258, there is in this cityH5892 a manH376 of GodH430, and he is a manH376 that is heldH3513 in honour; allH3605 that he saith cometh surelyH1980 to passH935: nowH6258 letH4994 usH4994 goH1980 thither; peradventure he canH834 tellH5046 usH4994 concerning our journeyH1870 whereon weH834 goH1980.
Then saidH559 SaulH7586 to his servantH5288, But, beholdH2009, ifH3588 weH3588 goH935, whatH4100 shall weH3588 bringH935 the manH376? for the breadH3899 is spent in our vesselsH3627, and there is notH369 a presentH935 to bringH935 to the manH376 of GodH430: whatH4100 have weH3588?
And the servantH5288 answeredH559 SaulH7586 againH3254, and saidH559, Beheld, I have in my handH3027 the fourthH7253 partH3027 of a shekelH8255 of silverH3701: that will I giveH5414 to the manH376 of GodH430, to tellH5046 usH5414 our wayH1870.
(Beforetime in IsraelH3478, when a manH376 wentH376 to inquireH1875 of GodH430, thusH3541 he saidH559, Come and let usH3588 go to the seer: for he that is nowH3117 calledH7121 a ProphetH5030 was beforetime calledH7121 a Seer.)
Then saidH559 SaulH7586 to his servantH5288, WellH2896 saidH559; come, let usH413 go. SoH834 they wentH413 unto the cityH5892 whereH834 the manH376 of GodH430 was.
As they wentH3318 upH5927 the ascentH4608 to the cityH5892, they foundH4672 youngH5291 maidensH5291 goingH3318 outH3318 to drawH7579 waterH4325, and saidH559 unto them, Is the seer hereH2088?
And they answeredH559 them, and saidH559, He is; beholdH2009, he is beforeH6440 thee: makeH4116 hasteH4116 nowH6258, for he is comeH935 todayH3117 intoH935 the cityH5892; for the peopleH5971 have a sacrificeH2077 todayH3117 in the highH1116 placeH1116:
as soonH6258 as ye be comeH935 intoH935 the cityH5892, ye shall straightway findH4672 him, beforeH2962 he goH935 upH5927 to the highH1116 placeH1116 to eatH398: for the peopleH5971 will notH3808 eatH398 untilH5704 he comeH935, becauseH3588 he doth blessH1288 the sacrificeH2077; and afterwardsH310 they eatH398 that be bidden. NowH6258 therefore getH935 youH3588 upH5927; for at this time ye shall findH4672 him.
And they wentH3318 upH5927 to the cityH5892; and as they cameH935 withinH8432 the cityH5892, beholdH2009, SamuelH8050 cameH935 outH3318 againstH7122 them, for to goH3318 upH5927 to the highH1116 placeH1116.
