Revised Version 1895
Samuel 26:8-12
Then saidH559 AbishaiH52 to DavidH1732, GodH430 hath deliveredH5462 upH5462 thine enemyH341 intoH413 thine handH3027 this dayH3117: nowH6258 therefore letH4994 meH413 smiteH5221 him, I prayH4994 thee, with the spearH2595 to the earthH776 at one strokeH6471, and I will notH3808 smiteH5221 him the secondH8138 time.
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to AbishaiH52, DestroyH7843 him notH408: for who canH4310 putH7971 forthH7971 his handH3027 againstH413 the LORD’SH3068 anointedH4899, and be guiltless?
And DavidH1732 saidH559, As the LORDH3068 liveth, the LORDH3068 shall smiteH5062 him; or his dayH3117 shall comeH935 to dieH4191; or he shall goH935 downH3381 intoH935 battleH4421, and perishH5595.
The LORDH3068 forbidH2486 that I should putH7971 forthH7971 mine handH3027 againstH3027 the LORD’SH3068 anointedH4899: but nowH6258 takeH3947, I prayH4994 thee, the spearH2595 that is at his headH4763, and the cruse of waterH4325, and letH7971 usH4994 goH7971.
SoH3947 DavidH1732 tookH3947 the spearH2595 and the cruse of waterH4325 from Saul’sH7586 headH5307; and they gat them awayH3947, and noH369 manH3605 sawH7200 it, norH369 knewH3045 it, neitherH369 didH5307 anyH3605 awake: for they were allH3605 asleepH3462; becauseH3588 a deepH8639 sleepH3462 from the LORDH3068 was fallenH5307 uponH5921 them.
