1And he heardוַיִּשְׁמַ֗עvai.yish.Ma'H8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֤יdiv.ReiH1697of Laban’sלָבָן֙la.VanH3837sonsבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290hath taken awayלָקַ֣חla.KachH3947all that wasour father’sלְאָבִ֑ינוּle.'a.Vi.nuH1; and of that which wasour father’sלְאָבִ֔ינוּle.'a.Vi.nuH1hath he gottenעָשָׂ֕ה'a.SahH6213all this gloryהַכָּבֹ֖דha.ka.VodH3519.

2And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֖בya.'a.KoH3290beheldוַיַּ֥רְאvai.Yar'H7200the countenanceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440of Labanלָבָ֑ןla.VanH3837, and, behold, it wasnot toward him asכִּתְמ֥וֹלkit.MolH8543beforeשִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃shil.ShomH8032.

3And Yhwhיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290,Returnשׁ֛וּבshuvH7725unto the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of thy fathersאֲבוֹתֶ֖יךָ'a.vo.Tei.khaH1,and to thy kindredוּלְמוֹלַדְתֶּ֑ךָu.le.mo.lad.Te.khaH4138; and I will be with thee.

4And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290sentוַיִּשְׁלַ֣חvai.yish.LachH7971and calledוַיִּקְרָ֖אvai.yik.Ra'H7121Rachelלְרָחֵ֣לle.ra.ChelH7354and Leahוּלְלֵאָ֑הu.le.le.'AhH3812to the fieldהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704unto his flockצֹאנֽוֹ׃tzo.NoH6629,

5And saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, I seeרֹאֶ֤הro.'EhH7200your father’sאֲבִיכֶ֔ן'a.vi.KhenH1countenanceפְּנֵ֣יpe.NeiH6440, that it isnot toward me asכִּתְמֹ֣לkit.MolH8543beforeשִׁלְשֹׁ֑םshil.ShomH8032;but the Godוֵֽאלֹהֵ֣יve.lo.HeiH430of my fatherאָבִ֔י'a.ViH1hath beenהָיָ֖הha.YahH1961with me.

6And yeוְאַתֵּ֖נָהve.'a.Te.nahH859knowיְדַעְתֶּ֑ןye.da'.TenH3045that with all my powerכֹּחִ֔יko.ChiH3581I have servedעָבַ֖דְתִּי'a.Vad.tiH5647your fatherאֲבִיכֶֽן׃'a.vi.KhenH1.

7And your fatherוַאֲבִיכֶן֙va.'a.vi.KhenH1hath deceivedהֵ֣תֶלHe.telH2048me, and changedוְהֶחֱלִ֥ףve.he.che.LifH2498my wagesמַשְׂכֻּרְתִּ֖יmas.kur.TiH4909tenעֲשֶׂ֣רֶת'a.Se.retH6235timesמֹנִ֑יםmo.NimH4489;but Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430suffered himנְתָנ֣וֹne.ta.NoH5414not to hurtלְהָרַ֖עle.ha.Ra'H7489meעִמָּדִֽי׃'i.ma.DiH5978.

8If he saidיֹאמַ֗רyo.MarH559thus, The speckledנְקֻדִּים֙ne.ku.DimH5348shall be thy wagesשְׂכָרֶ֔ךָse.kha.Re.khaH7939;then all the cattleהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629bareוְיָלְד֥וּve.yal.DuH3205speckledנְקֻדִּ֑יםne.ku.DimH5348:and if he saidיֹאמַ֗רyo.MarH559thus, The ringstrakedעֲקֻדִּים֙'a.ku.DimH6124shall be thy hireשְׂכָרֶ֔ךָse.kha.Re.khaH7939;then bareוְיָלְד֥וּve.yal.DuH3205all the cattleהַצֹּ֖אןha.TzonH6629ringstrakedעֲקֻדִּֽים׃'a.ku.DimH6124.

9Thus Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430hath taken awayוַיַּצֵּ֧לvai.ya.TzelH5337the cattleמִקְנֵ֥הmik.NehH4735of your fatherאֲבִיכֶ֖ם'a.vi.KhemH1,and givenוַיִּתֶּן־vai.yi.ten-H5414them to me.

10And it came to pass at the timeבְּעֵת֙be.'EtH6256that the cattleהַצֹּ֔אןha.TzonH6629conceivedיַחֵ֣םya.ChemH3179,that I lifted upוָאֶשָּׂ֥אva.'e.Sa'H5375mine eyesעֵינַ֛י'ei.NaiH5869,and sawוָאֵ֖רֶאva.'E.re'H7200in a dreamבַּחֲל֑וֹםba.cha.LomH2472,and, behold, the ramsהָֽעַתֻּדִים֙ha.'a.tu.DimH6260which leapedהָעֹלִ֣יםha.'o.LimH5927upon the cattleהַצֹּ֔אןha.TzonH6629wereringstrakedעֲקֻדִּ֥ים'a.ku.DimH6124,speckledנְקֻדִּ֖יםne.ku.DimH5348,and grisledוּבְרֻדִּֽים׃u.ve.ru.DimH1261.

11And the angelמַלְאַ֧ךְmal.'AkhH4397of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֛יםha.'E.lo.HimH430spakeוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto me in a dreamבַּחֲל֖וֹםba.cha.LomH2472, saying,Jacobיַֽעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290:And I saidוָאֹמַ֖רva.'o.MarH559, Here am I.

12And he saidוַיֹּ֗אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559,Lift upשָׂא־sa'-H5375now thine eyesעֵינֶ֤יךָ'ei.Nei.khaH5869,and seeוּרְאֵה֙u.re.'EhH7200,all the ramsהָֽעַתֻּדִים֙ha.'a.tu.DimH6260which leapהָעֹלִ֣יםha.'o.LimH5927upon the cattleהַצֹּ֔אןha.TzonH6629areringstrakedעֲקֻדִּ֥ים'a.ku.DimH6124,speckledנְקֻדִּ֖יםne.ku.DimH5348,and grisledוּבְרֻדִּ֑יםu.ve.ru.DimH1261:for I have seenרָאִ֔יתִיra.'I.tiH7200all that Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837doethעֹ֥שֶׂה'O.sehH6213unto thee.

13I amthe Godהָאֵל֙ha.'ElH410of Beth–elH1008,where thou anointedstמָשַׁ֤חְתָּma.Shach.taH4886the pillarמַצֵּבָ֔הma.tze.VahH4676, andwhere thou vowedstנָדַ֥רְתָּna.Dar.taH5087a vowנֶ֑דֶרNe.derH5088unto me: now ariseק֥וּםkumH6965,get thee outצֵא֙tze'H3318from this landהָאָ֣רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and returnוְשׁ֖וּבve.ShuvH7725unto the landאֶ֥רֶץ'E.retzH776of thy kindredמוֹלַדְתֶּֽךָ׃mo.lad.Te.khaH4138.

14And Rachelרָחֵל֙ra.ChelH7354and Leahוְלֵאָ֔הve.le.'AhH3812answeredוַתַּ֤עַןva.Ta.'anH6030and saidוַתֹּאמַ֖רְנָהva.to.Mar.nahH559unto him, Is thereyet any portionחֵ֥לֶקChe.lekH2506or inheritanceוְנַחֲלָ֖הve.na.cha.LahH5159for us in our father’sאָבִֽינוּ׃'a.Vi.nuH1houseבְּבֵ֥יתbe.VeitH1004?

15Are we not countedנֶחְשַׁ֥בְנוּnech.Shav.nuH2803of him strangersנָכְרִיּ֛וֹתna.khe.ri.YotH5237?for he hath soldמְכָרָ֑נוּme.kha.Ra.nuH4376us, and hath quiteוַיֹּ֥אכַלvai.Yo.khalH398devouredאָכ֖וֹל'a.KholH398also our moneyכַּסְפֵּֽנוּ׃kas.Pe.nuH3701.

16For all the richesהָעֹ֗שֶׁרha.'O.sherH6239which Godאֱלֹהִים֙'E.lo.HimH430hath takenהִצִּ֤ילhi.TzilH5337from our fatherמֵֽאָבִ֔ינוּme.'a.Vi.nuH1, that isours, and our children’sוּלְבָנֵ֑ינוּu.le.va.Nei.nuH1121:now then, whatsoever Godאֱלֹהִ֛ים'E.lo.HimH430hath saidאָמַ֧ר'a.MarH559unto thee, doעֲשֵֽׂה׃'a.SehH6213.

17Then Jacobיַעֲקֹ֑בya.'a.KoH3290rose upוַיָּ֖קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,and setוַיִּשָּׂ֛אvai.yi.Sa'H5375his sonsבָּנָ֥יוba.NavH1121and his wivesנָשָׁ֖יוna.ShavH802upon camelsהַגְּמַלִּֽים׃ha.ge.ma.LimH1581;

18And he carried awayוַיִּנְהַ֣גvai.yin.HagH5090all his cattleמִקְנֵ֗הוּmik.Ne.huH4735,and all his goodsרְכֻשׁוֹ֙re.khu.ShoH7399which he had gottenרָכָ֔שׁra.KhashH7408,the cattleמִקְנֵה֙mik.NehH4735of his gettingקִנְיָנ֔וֹkin.ya.NoH7075,which he had gottenרָכַ֖שׁra.KhashH7408in Padan–aramבְּפַדַּ֣ןbe.fa.DanH6307,for to goלָב֛וֹאla.Vo'H935to Isaacיִצְחָ֥קyitz.ChakH3327his fatherאָבִ֖יו'a.VivH1in the landאַ֥רְצָה'Ar.tzahH776of Canaanכְּנָֽעַן׃ke.Na.'anH3667.

19And Labanוְלָבָ֣ןve.la.VanH3837wentהָלַ֔ךְha.LakhH1980to shearלִגְזֹ֖זlig.ZozH1494his sheepצֹאנ֑וֹtzo.NoH6629:and Rachelרָחֵ֔לra.ChelH7354had stolenוַתִּגְנֹ֣בva.tig.NoH1589the imagesהַתְּרָפִ֖יםha.te.ra.FimH8655that wereher father’sלְאָבִֽיהָ׃le.'a.Vi.haH1.

20And Jacobיַעֲקֹ֔בya.'a.KoH3290stole awayוַיִּגְנֹ֣בvai.yig.NoH1589unawaresלֵ֥בlevH3820to Labanלָבָ֖ןla.VanH3837the Syrianהָאֲרַמִּ֑יha.'a.ra.MiH761,in thatעַל־'al-H5921he toldהִגִּ֣ידhi.GidH5046him notבְּלִי֙be.LiH1097that he fledבֹרֵ֖חַvo.Re.achH1272.

21So he fledוַיִּבְרַ֥חvai.yiv.RachH1272with all that he had; and he rose upוַיָּ֖קָםvai.Ya.komH6965,and passed overוַיַּעֲבֹ֣רvai.ya.'a.VorH5674the riverהַנָּהָ֑רha.na.HarH5104,and setוַיָּ֥שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440towardthe mountהַ֥רharH2022Gileadהַגִּלְעָֽד׃ha.gil.'AdH1568.
