Titus 1:11-15
who must be silenced because they are upsetting 1whole families, teaching 2things they should not teach 3for the sake of 4dishonest gain.
One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “5Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
This testimony is true. For this reason 6reprimand them 7severely so that they may be 8sound in the faith,
not paying attention to Jewish 9myths and 10commandments of men who 11turn away from the truth.
To the pure, all things are pure; but 13to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their 14mind and their conscience are defiled.
