Daniel 11:5-20
5“Then the 1kingH4428 of the SouthH5045 will growH2388 strongH2388, 2along with one of his princesH8269 3who will gainH2388 ascendancyH2388 overH5921 him and ruleH4910; his domainH4475 will be a greatH7227 realmH4475 indeed. 6And afterH7093 some yearsH8141 they will formH2266 anH2266 allianceH2266, and the daughterH1323 of the kingH4428 of the SouthH5045 will comeH935 to the 4kingH4428 of the NorthH6828 to reachH6213 an agreementH4339. But she will not keepH6113 her 5positionH2220 of powerH3581, norH3808 will he remainH5975 with his 6powerH2220, but she will be givenH5414 upH5414, along with those who broughtH935 her inH935 and the one who fatheredH3205 her as well as he who supportedH2388 her in those timesH6256. 7But one of the 7descendantsH5342 of her lineH8328 will ariseH5975 in his placeH3653, and he will comeH935 againstH413 their armyH2428 and enterH935 the 8fortressH4581 of the kingH4428 of the NorthH6828, and he will dealH6213 with them and prevailH2388. 8And he will alsoH1571 takeH935 into captivityH7628 to EgyptH4714 their 9godsH430 with their castH5257 metalH5257 imagesH5257 and their preciousH2532 vesselsH3627 of silverH3701 and goldH2091, and he on his partH1931 will 10refrainH5975 from attacking the kingH4428 of the NorthH6828 for some yearsH8141. 9Then 11the latter will enterH935 the realmH4438 of the kingH4428 of the SouthH5045, but will returnH7725 to his own landH127.
10“And his sonsH1121 will mobilizeH1624 and assembleH622 a multitudeH1995 of greatH7227 forcesH2428; and one of them will keepH935 on comingH935 and 12overflowH7857 and passH5674 throughH5674, so that he may 13againH7725 wageH1624 warH1624 up to his fortressH4581. 11And the 14kingH4428 of the SouthH5045 will beH4843 enragedH4843 and goH3318 outH3318 and fightH3898 15with the kingH4428 of the NorthH6828. Then the latter will raiseH5975 a greatH7227 multitudeH1995, but that multitudeH1995 will be handedH5414H3027 overH5414 to 16the former. 12When the multitudeH1995 is carriedH5375 away, his heartH3824 will 17beH7311 haughtyH7311, and he will cause tensH7239 of thousandsH7239 to fallH5307; yet he will not prevailH5810. 13For the kingH4428 of the NorthH6828 will againH7725 raiseH5975 a greaterH7227 multitudeH1995 thanH4480 the formerH7223, and 18afterH7093 an 19intervalH6256 ofH6256 someH6256 yearsH8141 he will 20pressH935 on with a greatH1419 armyH2428 and muchH7227 equipmentH7399.
14“Now in thoseH1992 timesH6256 manyH7227 will riseH5975 up againstH5921 the kingH4428 of the SouthH5045; the violentH6530 onesH1121 among your peopleH5971 will also raiseH5375 themselves upH5375 to fulfillH5975 the visionH2377, but they will 21fallH3782 downH3782. 15Then the kingH4428 of the NorthH6828 will comeH935, pileH8210 upH8210 an 22assaultH5550 rampH5550, and captureH3920 a well-fortifiedH4013 cityH5892; and the forcesH2220 of the SouthH5045 will not standH5975 their ground, not even 23their choicestH4005 troopsH5971, for thereH369 willH369 beH369 noH369 strengthH3581 to makeH5975 aH5975 standH5975. 16But he who comesH935 againstH413 him will 24doH6213 as he pleasesH7522, and 25noH369 oneH369 will be able to withstandH6440H5975 him; he will also stayH5975 for a time in the 2627BeautifulH6643 LandH776, with destructionH3617 in his handH3027. 17And he will 28setH7760 his 29mindH6440 on comingH935 with the powerH8633 of his entireH3605 kingdomH4438, 30bringing with him 31a proposalH3476 ofH3476 peaceH3476 which he will putH6213 intoH6213 effectH6213; he will also giveH5414 him the daughterH1323 of womenH802 to ruinH7843 it. But she will not takeH5975 aH5975 standH5975 for him or be 32on his side. 18Then he will turnH7725 his faceH6440 to the 33coastlandsH339 and captureH3920 manyH7227. But a commanderH7101 will putH7673 aH7673 stopH7673 toH7673 his tauntingH2781 against him; moreoverH1115, he will 34repayH7725 him for his tauntingH2781. 19So he will turnH7725 his faceH6440 toward the fortressesH4581 of his own landH776, but he will 35stumbleH3782 and fallH5307 and not be 36foundH4672.
20“Then in his placeH3653 one will ariseH5975 who will 37allow an 38oppressorH5065 to passH5674 throughH5674 the 39JewelH1925 of his kingdomH4438; yet within a fewH259 daysH3117 he will be brokenH7665, though not in angerH639 norH3808 in battleH4421.
