2 Samuel 7:6-16

6For 1I have not dweltH3427 in a houseH1004 sinceH4480 the dayH3117 I broughtH5927 upH5927 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478 from EgyptH4714, even to thisH2088 dayH3117; rather, I have beenH1961 movingH1980 aboutH1980 2in a tentH168, that is, in a dwellingH4908 placeH4908.

73WhereverH3605H834 I have goneH1980 with allH3605 the sonsH1121 of IsraelH3478, did I speakH1696 a wordH1697 with oneH259 of the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478, 4whomH834 I commandedH6680 to shepherdH7462 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, sayingH559, ‘WhyH4100 have you not builtH1129 Me a houseH1004 of cedarH730?’”’

8NowH6258 then, thisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 you shall sayH559 to My servantH5650 DavidH1732: ‘ThisH3541 isH3541 whatH3541 the LordH3068 of armiesH6635 saysH559: “5I MyselfH589 tookH3947 you from the pastureH5116, from followingH310 the sheepH6629, 6to be leaderH5057 overH5921 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478.

9And 7I have beenH1961 with you whereverH3605H834 you have goneH1980, and 8have eliminatedH3772 allH3605 your enemiesH340 from you; I will also makeH6213 a greatH1419 nameH8034 for you, like the namesH8034 of the greatH1419 menH1419 whoH834 9are on the earthH776.

10And I will establishH7760 a placeH4725 for My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478, and 10will plantH5193 them, so that they may liveH7931 inH7931 their own placeH8478 and not be disturbedH7264 againH5750, 11norH3808 will 12maliciousH5767 peopleH1121 oppressH6031 them anymoreH3254 as previouslyH7223,

11even 13from the dayH3117 that I appointedH6680 judgesH8199 overH5921 My peopleH5971 IsraelH3478; and 14I will giveH5117 you restH5117 from allH3605 your enemiesH340. The LordH3068 also declaresH5046 to you that 15the LordH3068 will makeH6213 a houseH1004 for you.

1216WhenH3588 your daysH3117 are finishedH4390 and you 1718lieH7901 downH7901 with your fathersH1, 19I will raiseH6965 upH6965 your 20descendantH2233 afterH310 you, whoH834 will comeH3318 from 21you, and I will establishH3559 his kingdomH4467.

1322He shall buildH1129 a houseH1004 for My nameH8034, and 23I will establishH3559 the throneH3678 of his kingdomH4467 foreverH5704H5769.

1424I will be a fatherH1 to him and he will be a sonH1121 to Me; 25whenH834 he doesH5753 wrongH5753, I will disciplineH3198 him with a rodH7626 of menH376 and with strokesH5061 of sonsH1121 of mankindH120,

15but My favorH2617 shall not departH5493 from him, 26as I tookH5493 it awayH5493 from SaulH7586, whomH834 I removedH5493 from you.

1627Your houseH1004 and your kingdomH4467 shall endureH539 beforeH6440 28Me foreverH5704H5769; your throneH3678 shall be establishedH3559 foreverH5704H5769.”’”
