Romans 9:31-33
31however, Israel, 1pursuing a law of righteousness, did not 2arrive at that law. 32Why? Because they did not pursue it 3by faith, but as though they could 4by works. They stumbled over 5the stumbling stone, 33just as it is written: “6Behold, I am laying in Zion 7a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, 8And the one who believes in Him 9will not be 10put to shame.”
