Romans 9:31-33
31but Israel, 1pursuing a law of righteousness, did not 2arrive at that law. 32Why? Because they did not pursue it 3by faith, but as though it were 4by works. They stumbled over 5the stumbling stone, 33just as it is written, “6Behold, I lay in Zion 7a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, 8And he who believes in Him 9will not be 10disappointed.”
