Romans 6:16-18

16Do you not 1know that the one to whom you present yourselves as 2slaves for obedience, you are slaves of that same one whom you obey, either of 3sin 4resulting in death, or of obedience 5resulting in righteousness?

17But 6thanks be to God that 7though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that 89form of teaching to which you were entrusted,

18and after being 10freed from sin, you became slaves to righteousness.
