Romans 5:1-9

1 1Therefore, having been justified by faith, 2 3we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we also have 4obtained our introduction by faith into this grace 5in which we stand; and 6we celebrate in hope of the glory of God. 3 7And not only this, but 8we also 9celebrate in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about 10perseverance; 4and 11perseverance, 12proven character; and proven character, hope; 5and hope 13does not disappoint, because the love of God has been 14poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

6For while we were still 15helpless, 16at the right time 17Christ died for the ungodly. 7For one will hardly die for a righteous person; 18though perhaps for the good person someone would even dare to die. 8But God 19demonstrates 20His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, 21Christ died for us. 9Much more then, having now been justified 22 23by His blood, we shall be saved 24from the wrath of God through Him.
