2Listenשִׁמְע֤וּshim.'UH8085,you mountainsהָרִים֙ha.RimH2022,to the indictmentרִ֣יבrivH7379by the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,And you enduringוְהָאֵתָנִ֖יםve.ha.'e.ta.NimH386foundationsמֹ֣סְדֵיMo.se.deiH4144of the earthאָ֑רֶץ'A.retzH776,Becauseכִּ֣יkiH3588theLordלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068has a caseרִ֤יבrivH7379againstH5973His peopleעַמּ֔וֹa.MoH5971;And He will disputeיִתְוַכָּֽח׃yit.va.KachH3198with Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478.

3My peopleעַמִּ֛י'a.MiH5971,whatמֶה־meh-H4100have I doneעָשִׂ֥יתִי'a.Si.tiH6213to you, Andhowוּמָ֣הu.MahH4100have I weariedהֶלְאֵתִ֑יךָhel.'e.Ti.khaH3811you? Answerעֲנֵ֥ה'a.NehH6030Me.

4Indeedכִּ֤יkiH3588, IbroughtH5927you upH5927from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714, Iredeemedפְּדִיתִ֑יךָpe.di.Ti.khaH6299you from the houseוּמִבֵּ֥יתu.mi.BeitH1004of slaveryעֲבָדִ֖ים'a.va.DimH5650,And I sentוָאֶשְׁלַ֣חva.'esh.LachH7971beforeלְפָנֶ֔יךָle.fa.Nei.khaH6440youMosesמֹשֶׁ֖הmo.ShehH4872,Aaronאַהֲרֹ֥ן'a.ha.RonH175, andMiriamוּמִרְיָֽם׃u.mir.YamH4813.

8He hastoldהִגִּ֥ידhi.GidH5046you, mortalH120oneH120,whatמַה־mah-H4100is goodטּ֑וֹבTovH2896; Andwhatוּמָֽה־u.mah-H4100does the Lordיְהוָ֞הYah.wehH3068requireדּוֹרֵ֣שׁdo.ReshH1875of you But todoעֲשׂ֤וֹתa.SotH6213justiceמִשְׁפָּט֙mish.PatH4941, toloveוְאַ֣הֲבַתve.'A.ha.vatH157kindnessחֶ֔סֶדChe.sedH2617,And to walkלֶ֖כֶתLe.khetH1980humblyוְהַצְנֵ֥עַve.hatz.Ne.a'H6800with your Godאֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ פ'e.lo.Hei.khaH430?

9The voiceק֤וֹלKolH6963of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will callיִקְרָ֔אyik.Ra'H7121to the cityלָעִ֣ירla.'IrH5892--And it is soundH8454wisdomH8454to fearH3372Your nameשְׁמֶ֑ךָshe.Me.khaH8034: “Hearשִׁמְע֥וּshim.'UH8085,you tribeמַטֶּ֖הma.TehH4294.Whoוּמִ֥יu.MiH4310has designatedיְעָדָֽהּ׃ye.'a.DahH3259its time?

10Is there stillע֗וֹדodH5750a personH376inthe wickedרָשָׁ֔עra.Sha'H7563houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004, Along withtreasuresאֹצְר֖וֹת'o.tze.RotH214ofwickednessרֶ֑שַׁעRe.sha'H7562, And ashortרָז֖וֹןra.ZonH7332measureוְאֵיפַ֥תve.'ei.FatH374that iscursedזְעוּמָֽה׃ze.'u.MahH2194?

11Can I justifyהַאֶזְכֶּ֖הha.'ez.KehH2135dishonestרֶ֑שַׁעRe.sha'H7562balancesבְּמֹ֣אזְנֵיbe.Mo.ze.neiH3976,And a bagוּבְכִ֖יסu.ve.KhisH3599of fraudulentמִרְמָֽה׃mir.MahH4820weightsאַבְנֵ֥י'av.NeiH68?

12For the richעֲשִׁירֶ֙יהָ֙'a.shi.Rei.haH6223peopleH6223ofthe city are fullמָלְא֣וּmal.'UH4390ofviolenceחָמָ֔סcha.MasH2555,Her residentsוְיֹשְׁבֶ֖יהָve.yo.she.Vei.haH3427speakדִּבְּרוּ־di.be.ru-H1696liesשָׁ֑קֶרSha.kerH8267, And theirtongueוּלְשׁוֹנָ֖םu.le.sho.NamH3956is deceitfulרְמִיָּ֥הre.mi.YahH7423in their mouthבְּפִיהֶֽם׃be.fi.HemH6310.

13So alsoוְגַם־ve.gam-H1571I will makeהֶחֱלֵ֣יתִיhe.che.Lei.tiH2470yousickH2470,strikingהַכּוֹתֶ֑ךָha.ko.Te.khaH5221you down,Makingהַשְׁמֵ֖םhash.MemH8074youdesolateH8074becauseעַל־'al-H5921of your sinsחַטֹּאתֶֽךָ׃cha.to.Te.khaH2403.

14You will eatתֹאכַל֙to.KhalH398, but you willnot beH7646satisfiedH7646,And your filthוְיֶשְׁחֲךָ֖ve.yesh.cha.KhaH3445will bein your midstבְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָbe.kir.Be.chaH7130. You will try toremoveH5472valuables for safekeeping, But you willnot saveתַפְלִ֔יטtaf.LitH6403it all,And whatוַאֲשֶׁ֥רva.'a.SherH834you do saveתְּפַלֵּ֖טte.fa.LetH6403I will turnH5414overH5414to the swordלַחֶ֥רֶבla.Che.revH2719.

15You will sowתִזְרַ֖עtiz.Ra'H2232but you willnot harvestתִקְצ֑וֹרtik.TzorH7114.You will treadתִדְרֹֽךְ־tid.rokh-H1869the oliveזַ֙יִת֙za.yitH2132pressbut will not anointתָס֣וּךְta.SukhH5480yourself with oilשֶׁ֔מֶןShe.menH8081; And tread outsweetH8492wineוְתִיר֖וֹשׁve.ti.Ro.oshH8492, but you willnot drinkתִשְׁתֶּה־tish.teh-H8354anywineיָּֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196.

16The statutesחֻקּ֣וֹתchu.KotH2708ofOmriעָמְרִ֗י'a.me.RiH6018And everyוְכֹל֙ve.KholH3605workמַעֲשֵׂ֣הma.'a.SehH4639of the houseבֵית־veit-H1004ofAhabאַחְאָ֔ב'ach.'AvH256are maintainedוְיִשְׁתַּמֵּ֞רve.yish.ta.MerH8104, And youwalkוַתֵּלְכ֖וּva.te.le.KhuH1980by their plansבְּמֹֽעֲצוֹתָ֑םbe.mo.'a.tzo.TamH4156.Thereforeלְמַעַן֩le.ma.'AnH4616I will giveH5414you upH5414fordestructionלְשַׁמָּ֗הle.sha.MahH8047, Andyour inhabitantsוְיֹשְׁבֶ֙יהָ֙ve.yo.she.Vei.haH3427forderisionלִשְׁרֵקָ֔הlish.re.KahH8322,And you will sufferתִּשָּֽׂאוּ׃ פti.Sa.'uH5375thetauntingוְחֶרְפַּ֥תve.cher.PatH2781of My peopleעַמִּ֖י'a.MiH5971.”
