2“Disputeרִ֤יבוּRi.vuH7378with your motherבְאִמְּכֶם֙ve.'i.me.KhemH517,disputeרִ֔יבוּRi.vuH7378,BecauseH3588she isnot my wifeאִשְׁתִּ֔י'ish.TiH802,and I am not her husbandאִישָׁ֑הּ'i.ShahH376;But she must removeוְתָסֵ֤רve.ta.SerH5493herinfidelityזְנוּנֶ֙יהָ֙ze.nu.Nei.haH2183from her faceמִפָּנֶ֔יהmi.pa.NeihH6440And her adulteryוְנַאֲפוּפֶ֖יהָve.na.'a.fu.Fei.haH5005from betweenמִבֵּ֥יןmi.BeinH996her breastsשָׁדֶֽיהָ׃sha.Dei.haH7699,

3Otherwiseפֶּן־pen-H6435,I will stripאַפְשִׁיטֶ֣נָּה'af.shi.Te.nahH6584hernakedעֲרֻמָּ֔ה'a.ru.MahH6174And exposeוְהִ֨צַּגְתִּ֔יהָve.Hi.tzag.Ti.haH3322her as on thedayכְּי֖וֹםke.YomH3117she was bornהִוָּֽלְדָ֑הּhi.val.DahH3205. I will alsomakeוְשַׂמְתִּ֣יהָve.sam.Ti.haH7760her like a wildernessכַמִּדְבָּ֗רkha.mid.BarH4057,Makeוְשַׁתִּ֙הָ֙ve.sha.Ti.haH7896her like desertצִיָּ֔הtzi.YahH6723landכְּאֶ֣רֶץke.'E.retzH776,And putH4191her toH4191deathH4191withthirstבַּצָּמָֽא׃ba.tza.Ma'H6772.

4Also, I will takeH7355noH3808pityH7355onH7355her childrenבָּנֶ֖יהָba.Nei.haH1121,BecauseH3588they arechildrenבְנֵ֥יve.NeiH1121of infidelityH2183.

5For their motherאִמָּ֔ם'i.MamH517hascommittedH2181prostitutionH2181;She who conceivedהֽוֹרָתָ֑םho.ra.TamH2029them has actedH954shamefullyהֹבִ֖ישָׁהho.Vi.shahH954.For she saidאָמְרָ֗ה'a.me.RahH559, ‘I will goאֵלְכָ֞ה'e.le.KhahH1980afterאַחֲרֵ֤י'a.cha.ReiH310my loversמְאַהֲבַי֙me.'a.ha.VaiH157, Whogiveנֹתְנֵ֤יno.te.NeiH5414memy breadלַחְמִי֙lach.MiH3899and my waterוּמֵימַ֔יu.mei.MaiH4325,My woolצַמְרִ֣יtzam.RiH6785and my flaxוּפִשְׁתִּ֔יu.fish.TiH6593, myoilשַׁמְנִ֖יsham.NiH8081and my drinkוְשִׁקּוּיָֽי׃ve.shi.ku.YaiH8250.’

6Thereforeלָכֵ֛ןla.KhenH3651,beholdH2009, I willobstructשָׂ֥ךְsakhH7753her wayדַּרְכֵּ֖ךְdar.KekhH1870withthornsבַּסִּירִ֑יםba.si.RimH5518,And I will buildוְגָֽדַרְתִּי֙ve.ga.dar.TiH1443a stoneH1447wallגְּדֵרָ֔הּge.de.RahH1447against her so that she cannotH3808findתִמְצָֽא׃tim.Tza'H4672herpathsוּנְתִיבוֹתֶ֖יהָu.ne.ti.vo.Tei.haH5410.

7And she willpursueוְרִדְּפָ֤הve.ri.de.FahH7291her loversH157,but she will not reachתַשִּׂ֣יגta.SigH5381them;And she will seekוּבִקְשָׁ֖תַםu.vik.Sha.tamH1245them, but will not findתִמְצָ֑אtim.Tza'H4672them.Then she will sayH559, ‘I will goH1980backוְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ve.'a.Shu.vahH7725to myfirstהָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹןha.ri.ShonH7223husbandאִישִׁ֣י'i.ShiH376,BecauseH3588it wasbetterH2896for me thenאָ֖ז'azH227thanH4480nowמֵעָֽתָּה׃me.'A.tahH6258!’

8“Yet she doesnot knowיָֽדְעָ֔הya.de.'AhH3045that it wasI myselfאָֽנֹכִי֙'a.no.KhiH595who gaveנָתַ֣תִּיna.Ta.tiH5414her the grainהַדָּגָ֖ןha.da.GanH1715,the newוְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁve.ha.ti.Ro.oshH8492wineH8492,and the oilוְהַיִּצְהָ֑רve.hai.yitz.HarH3323,And lavishedהִרְבֵּ֥יתִיhir.Bei.tiH7235on her silverוְכֶ֨סֶףve.Khe.sefH3701and goldוְזָהָ֖בve.za.HavH2091, Which theyusedעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213for Baalלַבָּֽעַל׃la.Ba.'alH1168.

9Thereforeלָכֵ֣ןla.KhenH3651, I willtakeוְלָקַחְתִּ֤יve.la.kach.TiH3947backH7725My grainדְגָנִי֙de.ga.NiH1715atharvest timeבְּעִתּ֔וֹbe.'i.ToH6256And My newוְתִירוֹשִׁ֖יve.ti.ro.ShiH8492wineH8492in its seasonבְּמֽוֹעֲד֑וֹbe.mo.'a.DoH4150.I will also takeH5337awayוְהִצַּלְתִּי֙ve.hi.tzal.TiH5337My woolצַמְרִ֣יtzam.RiH6785and My flaxוּפִשְׁתִּ֔יu.fish.TiH6593That I gaveto coverלְכַסּ֖וֹתle.kha.SotH3680her nakednessעֶרְוָתָֽהּ׃'er.va.TahH6172.

10So nowוְעַתָּ֛הve.'a.TahH6258I willuncoverאֲגַלֶּ֥ה'a.ga.LehH1540herlewdnessנַבְלֻתָ֖הּnav.lu.TahH5040Before the eyesלְעֵינֵ֣יle.'ei.NeiH5869of her loversמְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157,And noH3808oneוְאִ֖ישׁve.'IshH376will rescueיַצִּילֶ֥נָּהya.tzi.Le.nahH5337her from My handמִיָּדִֽי׃mi.ya.DiH3027.

11I will alsoputוְהִשְׁבַּתִּי֙ve.hish.ba.TiH7673anH7673endH7673toH7673allכָּל־kol-H3605her joyמְשׂוֹשָׂ֔הּme.so.SahH4885, Herfeastsחַגָּ֖הּcha.GahH2282, hernewחָדְשָׁ֣הּcha.de.ShahH2320moonsH2320,her Sabbathsוְשַׁבַּתָּ֑הּve.shab.ba.TahH7676,And allוְכֹ֖לve.KholH3605her festivalsH4150.

12And I willdestroyוַהֲשִׁמֹּתִ֗יva.ha.shi.mo.TiH8074her vinesגַּפְנָהּ֙gaf.NahH1612and figוּתְאֵ֣נָתָ֔הּu.te.'E.na.TahH8384treesH8384,Of whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834she saidאָמְרָ֗ה'a.me.RahH559, ‘They are my wagesH866forH866prostitutionH866Whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834my loversH157have givenנָֽתְנוּ־na.te.nu-H5414me.’ And I willturnוְשַׂמְתִּ֣יםve.sam.TimH7760them into a forestלְיַ֔עַרle.Ya.'arH3293, And theanimalsH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ha.sa.DehH7704will devourוַאֲכָלָ֖תַםva.'a.kha.La.tamH398them.

13I will punishוּפָקַדְתִּ֣יu.fa.kad.TiH6485her for thedaysיְמֵ֤יye.MeiH3117of the Baalsהַבְּעָלִים֙ha.be.'a.LimH1168Whenאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834she used toofferH6999sacrificesH6999to them Andadornוַתַּ֤עַדva.Ta.'adH5710herself with her noseH5141ringנִזְמָהּ֙niz.MahH5141and jewelryוְחֶלְיָתָ֔הּve.chel.ya.TahH2484,And followוַתֵּ֖לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֣יva.Te.lekh 'a.cha.ReiH1980 H310her loversמְאַהֲבֶ֑יהָme.'a.ha.Vei.haH157, so that sheforgotשָׁכְחָ֖הsha.khe.ChahH7911Me,” declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.

14“Thereforeלָכֵ֗ןla.KhenH3651,beholdהִנֵּ֤הhi.NehH2009,I am going to persuadeמְפַתֶּ֔יהָme.fa.Tei.haH6601her,Bringוְהֹֽלַכְתִּ֖יהָve.ho.lakh.Ti.haH1980her intothe wildernessהַמִּדְבָּ֑רha.mid.BarH4057,And speakוְדִבַּרְתִּ֖יve.di.bar.TiH1696kindlyלִבָּֽהּ׃li.BahH3820to her.

15Then I will giveוְנָתַ֨תִּיve.na.Ta.tiH5414her hervineyardsכְּרָמֶ֙יהָ֙ke.ra.Mei.haH3754from thereמִשָּׁ֔םmi.ShamH8033, And theValleyעֵ֥מֶק'E.mekH6010of Achorעָכ֖וֹרa.KhorH5911as a doorלְפֶ֣תַחle.Fe.tachH6607of hopeתִּקְוָ֑הtik.VahH8615. And she willrespondH6031thereשָּׁ֙מָּה֙Sha.mahH8033as in the daysH3117of her youthנְעוּרֶ֔יהָne.'u.Rei.haH5271, As in thedayH3117when she wentH5927upH5927from the landמֵאֶֽרֶץ־me.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרָֽיִם׃ סmitz.Ra.yimH4714.

16And it will comeH1961aboutH1961on that dayבַיּוֹם־vai.yom-H3117,”declaresנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068, “That you will callתִּקְרְאִ֖יtik.re.'IH7121Memy husbandאִישִׁ֑י'i.ShiH376And noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808longerע֖וֹדodH5750callתִקְרְאִי־tik.re.'i-H7121Me myBaalבַּעְלִֽי׃ba'.LiH1180.

17ForI will removeוַהֲסִרֹתִ֛יva.ha.si.ro.TiH5493the namesשְׁמ֥וֹתshe.MotH8034of the Baalsהַבְּעָלִ֖יםha.be.'a.LimH1168from her mouthמִפִּ֑יהָmi.Pi.haH6310,So that they will noוְלֹֽא־ve.lo'-H3808longerע֖וֹדodH5750bementionedיִזָּכְר֥וּyi.za.khe.RuH2142by their namesבִּשְׁמָֽם׃bish.MamH8034.

18On that dayH3117I will also makeוְכָרַתִּ֨יve.kha.ra.TiH3772a covenantבְּרִית֙be.RitH1285for them With theanimalsH2421of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶה֙ha.sa.DehH7704,The birdsע֣וֹףofH5775of the skyהַשָּׁמַ֔יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,And the crawlingH7431thingsוְרֶ֖מֶשׂve.Re.mesH7431of the groundהָֽאֲדָמָ֑הha.'a.da.MahH127. And I willeliminateאֶשְׁבּ֣וֹר'esh.BorH7665the bowוְקֶ֨שֶׁתve.Ke.shetH7198,the swordוְחֶ֤רֶבve.Che.revH2719,and warוּמִלְחָמָה֙u.mil.cha.MahH4421from the landהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776, And will let themlieוְהִשְׁכַּבְתִּ֖יםve.hish.kav.TimH7901downH7901in safetyלָבֶֽטַח׃la.Ve.tachH983.

19I willbetrothוְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְve.'e.ras.TikhH781you to Me foreverלְעוֹלָ֑םle.'o.LamH5769;Yes, I will betrothוְאֵרַשְׂתִּ֥יךְve.'e.ras.TikhH781you to Me inrighteousnessבְּצֶ֣דֶקbe.Tze.dekH6664and in justiceוּבְמִשְׁפָּ֔טu.ve.mish.PatH4941,In favorוּבְחֶ֖סֶדu.ve.Che.sedH2617and in compassionוּֽבְרַחֲמִֽים׃U.ve.ra.cha.MimH7356,
