1Now when theseH428thingsאֵ֗לֶּה'E.lehH428had been completedוּכְכַלּ֣וֹתu.khe.kha.LotH3615,the officialsהַשָּׂרִים֙ha.sa.RimH8269approachedנִגְּשׁ֨וּni.ge.ShuH5066me, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “The peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478and the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֣יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548and the Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֔םve.hal.vi.YimH3881have notseparatedנִבְדְּל֞וּniv.de.LuH914themselves from the peoplesמֵעַמֵּ֖יme.'a.MeiH5971of the landsהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776,as to their abominationsכְּ֠תוֹעֲבֹֽתֵיהֶםKe.to.'a.vo.tei.hemH8441, thoseof the Canaanitesלַכְּנַעֲנִ֨יla.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,the Hittitesהַחִתִּ֜יha.chi.TiH2850,the Perizzitesהַפְּרִזִּ֣יha.pe.ri.ZiH6522,the Jebusitesהַיְבוּסִ֗יhay.vu.SiH2983,the Ammonitesהָֽעַמֹּנִי֙ha.'a.mo.NiH5984,the Moabitesהַמֹּ֣אָבִ֔יha.Mo.'a.ViH4125,the Egyptiansהַמִּצְרִ֖יha.mitz.RiH4713,and the Amoritesוְהָאֱמֹרִֽי׃ve.ha.'e.mo.RiH567.

2Forthey have takenנָשְׂא֣וּna.se.'UH5375someH4480of their daughtersמִבְּנֹֽתֵיהֶ֗םmi.be.no.tei.HemH1323as wivesfor themselves and for their sonsוְלִבְנֵיהֶ֔םve.liv.nei.HemH1121, so thatthe holyהַקֹּ֔דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944lineזֶ֣רַעZe.ra'H2233hasintermingledוְהִתְעָֽרְבוּ֙ve.hit.'a.re.VuH6148with the peoplesבְּעַמֵּ֖יbe.'a.MeiH5971of the landsהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776;indeed, the handsוְיַ֧דve.YadH3027of the officialsהַשָּׂרִ֣יםha.sa.RimH8269and the leadersוְהַסְּגָנִ֗יםve.ha.se.ga.NimH5461have takenהָֽיְתָ֛הha.ye.TahH1961the leadרִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃ סri.sho.NahH7223in thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088unfaithfulnessבַּמַּ֥עַלba.Ma.'alH4604.”

3When I heardוּכְשָׁמְעִי֙u.khe.sha.me.'IH8085about thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088matterהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697, Itoreקָרַ֥עְתִּיka.Ra'.tiH7167my garmentבִּגְדִ֖יbig.DiH899and my robeוּמְעִילִ֑יu.me.'i.LiH4598,and pulledוָאֶמְרְטָ֞הva.'em.re.TahH4803outH4803someH4480of the hairמִשְּׂעַ֤רmi.se.'ArH8181from my headרֹאשִׁי֙ro.ShiH7218and my beardוּזְקָנִ֔יu.ze.ka.NiH2206, andsatH3427downוָאֵשְׁבָ֖הva.'e.she.VahH3427appalledמְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃me.sho.MemH8074.

4Theneveryoneכֹּ֤לkolH3605who was frightenedחָרֵד֙cha.RedH2730by the wordsבְּדִבְרֵ֣יbe.div.ReiH1697of the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478onH5921accountH5921ofH5921the unfaithfulnessמַ֣עַלMa.'alH4604of the exilesהַגּוֹלָ֑הha.go.LahH1473gatheredיֵאָסְפ֗וּye.'a.se.FuH622to me, and I satיֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427appalledמְשׁוֹמֵ֔םme.sho.MemH8074untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153offeringלְמִנְחַ֥תle.min.ChatH4503.

5But at the eveningהָעֶ֗רֶבha.'E.revH6153offeringוּבְמִנְחַ֣תu.ve.min.ChatH4503I stoodH6965upH6965from myhumiliationמִתַּֽעֲנִיתִ֔יmi.ta.'a.ni.TiH8589,even with my garmentבִגְדִ֖יvig.DiH899and my robeוּמְעִילִ֑יu.me.'i.LiH4598tornוּבְקָרְעִ֥יu.ve.ka.re.'IH7167,and I bowedH3766downוָֽאֶכְרְעָה֙va.'ekh.re.'AhH3766on my kneesבִּרְכַּ֔יbir.KaiH1290andspreadוָאֶפְרְשָׂ֥הva.'ef.re.SahH6566outH6566myhandsכַפַּ֖יkha.PaiH3709to the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430;
