1After these thingsאֵ֗לֶּה'E.lehH428had been accomplishedוּכְכַלּ֣וֹתu.khe.kha.LotH3615,the leadersהַשָּׂרִים֙ha.sa.RimH8269approachedנִגְּשׁ֨וּni.ge.ShuH5066meאֵלַ֤י'e.LaiH413and saidלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “The peopleהָעָ֤םha.'AmH5971of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478,including the priestsוְהַכֹּהֲנִ֣יםve.ha.ko.ha.NimH3548and Levitesוְהַלְוִיִּ֔םve.hal.vi.YimH3881,have notלֹֽא־lo'-H3808kept themselves separateנִבְדְּל֞וּniv.de.LuH914from the surroundingהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776peoplesמֵעַמֵּ֖יme.'a.MeiH5971whose abominationsכְּ֠תוֹעֲבֹֽתֵיהֶםKe.to.'a.vo.tei.hemH8441are like those of the Canaanitesלַכְּנַעֲנִ֨יla.ke.na.'a.NiH3669,Hittitesהַחִתִּ֜יha.chi.TiH2850,Perizzitesהַפְּרִזִּ֣יha.pe.ri.ZiH6522,Jebusitesהַיְבוּסִ֗יhay.vu.SiH2983,Ammonitesהָֽעַמֹּנִי֙ha.'a.mo.NiH5984,Moabitesהַמֹּ֣אָבִ֔יha.Mo.'a.ViH4125,Egyptiansהַמִּצְרִ֖יha.mitz.RiH4713,and Amoritesוְהָאֱמֹרִֽי׃ve.ha.'e.mo.RiH567.

2Indeedכִּֽי־ki-H3588,the Israelites have takenנָשְׂא֣וּna.se.'UH5375some of their daughtersמִבְּנֹֽתֵיהֶ֗םmi.be.no.tei.HemH1323as wives for themselvesand their sonsוְלִבְנֵיהֶ֔םve.liv.nei.HemH1121,so that the holyהַקֹּ֔דֶשׁha.Ko.deshH6944seedזֶ֣רַעZe.ra'H2233has been mixedוְהִתְעָֽרְבוּ֙ve.hit.'a.re.VuH6148with the peopleבְּעַמֵּ֖יbe.'a.MeiH5971of the landהָאֲרָצ֑וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776.And the leadersהַשָּׂרִ֣יםha.sa.RimH8269and officialsוְהַסְּגָנִ֗יםve.ha.se.ga.NimH5461have taken the leadוְיַ֧ד הָֽיְתָ֛ה רִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃ סve.Yad ha.ye.Tah ri.sho.NahH3027 H1961 H7223in thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088unfaithfulnessבַּמַּ֥עַלba.Ma.'alH4604!”

3When I heardוּכְשָׁמְעִי֙u.khe.sha.me.'IH8085אֶת־'et-H853thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088reportהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697,I toreקָרַ֥עְתִּיka.Ra'.tiH7167אֶת־'et-H853my tunicבִּגְדִ֖יbig.DiH899and cloakוּמְעִילִ֑יu.me.'i.LiH4598,pulled outוָאֶמְרְטָ֞הva.'em.re.TahH4803some hairמִשְּׂעַ֤רmi.se.'ArH8181from my headרֹאשִׁי֙ro.ShiH7218and beardוּזְקָנִ֔יu.ze.ka.NiH2206,and sat downוָאֵשְׁבָ֖הva.'e.she.VahH3427in horrorמְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃me.sho.MemH8074.

4Then everyoneכֹּ֤לkolH3605who trembledחָרֵד֙cha.RedH2730at the wordsבְּדִבְרֵ֣יbe.div.ReiH1697of the Godאֱלֹהֵֽי־'e.lo.hei-H430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478gatheredיֵאָסְפ֗וּye.'a.se.FuH622around meוְאֵלַ֣יve.'e.LaiH413because ofעַ֖ל'alH5921the unfaithfulnessמַ֣עַלMa.'alH4604of the exilesהַגּוֹלָ֑הha.go.LahH1473,while Iוַאֲנִי֙va.'a.NiH589sat thereיֹשֵׁ֣בyo.ShevH3427in horrorמְשׁוֹמֵ֔םme.sho.MemH8074untilעַ֖ד'adH5704the eveningהָעָֽרֶב׃ha.'A.revH6153offeringלְמִנְחַ֥תle.min.ChatH4503.

5At the eveningהָעֶ֗רֶבha.'E.revH6153offeringוּבְמִנְחַ֣תu.ve.min.ChatH4503,I got upקַ֚מְתִּיKam.tiH6965from my humiliationמִתַּֽעֲנִיתִ֔יmi.ta.'a.ni.TiH8589with my tunicבִגְדִ֖יvig.DiH899and cloakוּמְעִילִ֑יu.me.'i.LiH4598tornוּבְקָרְעִ֥יu.ve.ka.re.'IH7167,and I fellוָֽאֶכְרְעָה֙va.'ekh.re.'AhH3766onעַל־'al-H5921my kneesבִּרְכַּ֔יbir.KaiH1290,spread outוָאֶפְרְשָׂ֥הva.'ef.re.SahH6566my handsכַפַּ֖יkha.PaiH3709toאֶל־'el-H413the LORDיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068my Godאֱלֹהָֽי׃'e.lo.HaiH430,
