Revelation 17:5-9

5and on her forehead a name was written, 1a 2mystery: “3BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF 4THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” 6And I saw the woman drunk with 5the blood of the 6saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered 7greatly. 7And the angel said to me, “Why 8do you wonder? I will tell you the 9mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the 10seven heads and the ten horns.

8“11The beast that you saw 12was, and is not, and is about to 13come up out of the 14abyss and 15 16go to destruction. And 17those who live on the earth, 18whose names have not been written in the book of life 19from the foundation of the world, will 20wonder when they see the beast, that he was, and is not, and will 21come. 9 22Here is the mind which has wisdom. The 23seven heads are seven mountains upon which the woman sits,
