Jude 1:6-23
6And 1angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has 2kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7just as 3Sodom and Gomorrah and the 4cities around them, since they in the same way as these angels indulged in sexual perversion and 5went after 6strange flesh, are exhibited as an 78example in undergoing the 9punishment of eternal fire.
8Yet in the same way these people also, dreaming, 10defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak abusively of angelic 11majesties. 9But 12Michael 13the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about 14the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment, but said, “15The Lord rebuke you!” 10But 16these people disparage all the things that they do not understand; and 17all the things that they know by instinct, 18like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed. 11Woe to them! For they have gone 19the way of Cain, and for pay 20they have given themselves up to 21the error of Balaam, and 22perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12These are the ones who are 23hidden reefs 24in your love feasts when they feast with you 25without fear, like shepherds caring only for themselves; 26clouds without water, 27carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, 28doubly dead, 29uprooted; 1330wild waves of the sea, churning up 31their own shameful deeds like dirty foam; wandering stars, 32for whom the 33gloom of darkness has been reserved forever.
14It was also about these people that 34Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “35Behold, the Lord has come with 36many thousands of His holy ones, 1537to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which 38ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16These are 39grumblers, finding fault, 40following after their own lusts; 41they speak 42arrogantly, flattering people 43for the sake of gaining an advantage.
17But you, 44beloved, 45ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by 46the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18that they were saying to you, “47In the last time there will be mockers, 48following after their own ungodly lusts.” 19These are the ones who cause divisions, 4950worldly-minded, 51devoid of the Spirit. 20But you, 52beloved, 53building yourselves up on your most holy 54faith, 55praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God, 56looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23save others, 57snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, 58hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
