Jude 1:6-23

6And 1angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has 2kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7just as 3Sodom and Gomorrah and the 4cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and 5went after 6strange flesh, are exhibited as an 78example in undergoing the 9punishment of eternal fire.

8Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, 10defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile 11angelic majesties. 9But 12Michael 13the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about 14the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, “15The Lord rebuke you!” 10But 16these men revile the things which they do not understand; and 17the things which they know by instinct, 18like unreasoning animals, by these things they are 19destroyed. 11Woe to them! For they have gone 20the way of Cain, and for pay 21they have rushed headlong into 22the error of Balaam, and 23perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12These are the men who are 24hidden reefs 25in your love feasts when they feast with you 26without fear, caring for themselves; 27clouds without water, 28carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, 29doubly dead, 30uprooted; 1331wild waves of the sea, casting up 32their own 33shame like foam; wandering stars, 34for whom the 35black darkness has been reserved forever.

14It was also about these men that 36Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “37Behold, the Lord came with 38many thousands of His holy ones, 1539to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which 40ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16These are 41grumblers, finding fault, 42following after their own lusts; 43they speak 44arrogantly, flattering people 45for the sake of gaining an advantage.

17But you, 46beloved, 47ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by 48the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18that they were saying to you, “49In the last time there will be mockers, 50following after their own ungodly lusts.” 19These are the ones who cause divisions, 5152worldly-minded, 53devoid of the Spirit. 20But you, 54beloved, 55building yourselves up on your most holy 56faith, 57praying in the Holy Spirit, 21keep yourselves in the love of God, 58waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23save others, 59snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, 60hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
