Isaiah 9:3-7
31You will multiply the nation, You 2will 3increase 4their joy; They will rejoice in Your presence As with the joy 5of harvest, As people 6rejoice when they divide the spoils.4For 7You will break the yoke of their burden and the staff on their shoulders, The rod of their 8oppressor, as 9at the battle of 10Midian.5For every boot of the marching warrior in the roar of battle, And cloak rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire.6For a 11Child will be born to us, a 12Son will be given to us; And the 13government will 14rest 15on His shoulders; And His name will be called 16Wonderful Counselor, 17Mighty God, Eternal 18Father, Prince of 19Peace.7There will be 20no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the 21throne of David and over 22his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with 23justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. 24The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.
