Isaiah 7:9-14
9and the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. 1If you will not believe, you certainly shall not 2last.”’”
10Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 11“Ask for a 3sign for yourself from the Lord your God; 4make it deep as Sheol or high as 5heaven.” 12But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I put the Lord to the test!” 13Then he said, “Listen now, 6house of David! Is it too trivial a thing for you to 7try the patience of men, that you will 89try the patience of 10my God as well? 14Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, 11the 12virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will name Him 1314Immanuel.
