Isaiah 1:10-20

10Hear 1the word of the Lord, You rulers of 2Sodom; Listen to the instruction of our God, You people of Gomorrah!11“3What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord. “I 4have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.12When you come 5to appear before Me, Who requires 6of you this trampling of My courtyards?13Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings, 7Incense is an abomination to Me. 8New moon and Sabbath, the 9proclamation of an assembly-- I cannot 10endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.1411I hate your new moon festivals and your 12appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am 13tired of bearing them.15So when you 14spread out your hands in prayer, 15I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you 16offer many prayers, I will not be listening. 17Your hands are 18covered with blood.

16“19Wash yourselves, 20make yourselves clean; 21Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. 22Stop doing evil,17Learn to do good; 23Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, 24Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case.

18“Come now, and 25let us 26debate your case,” Says the Lord, “27Though your sins are as scarlet, They shall become as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be like wool.1928If you are willing and obedient, You will 29eat the best of the land;20But if you refuse and rebel, You will be 30devoured by the sword.” For 31the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
