Genesis 47:14-18

And 1Joseph collected all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan in payment for the grain which they bought, and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.

When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph saying, “Give us 2food, for 3why should we die in your presence? For our money is 4gone.”

Then Joseph said, “Give up your livestock, and I will give you food for your livestock, since your money is 5gone.”

So they brought their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gave them 6food in exchange for the horses and the 7flocks and the herds and the donkeys; and he 8fed them with 9food in exchange for all their livestock 10that year.

But when that year ended, they came to him the 11next year and said to him, “We will not hide from my lord the fact that our money is all spent, and the 12livestock are my lord’s. There is nothing left 13for my lord except our bodies and our lands.
