Genesis 35:3-4
3and let’s arise and go up to Bethel, and I will make 1an altar there to God, 2who answered me on the day of my distress and 3has been with me 4wherever I have gone.” 4So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which 5they had and the rings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the 6oak which was near Shechem.
