Genesis 35:3-4
3and let us arise and go up to Bethel, and I will make 1an altar there to God, 2who answered me in the day of my distress and 3has been with me 4wherever I have gone.” 4So they gave to Jacob all the foreign gods which 5they had and the rings which were in their ears, and Jacob hid them under the 6oak which was near Shechem.
