Genesis 28:10-15
Then Jacob departed from 1Beersheba and went toward 2Haran.
And he 3happened upon a 45particular place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and made it a support for his head, and lay down in that place.
And 6he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, 7the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
Then behold, 8the Lord was standing 9above it and said, “I am the Lord, 10the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give 11to you and to 12your 13descendants.
Your 14descendants will also be like 15the dust of the earth, and you will 16spread out 17to the west and to the east, and to the north and to the south; and 18in you and in your 19descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Behold, 20I am with you and 21will keep you wherever you go, and 22will bring you back to this land; for 23I will not leave you until I have done what I have 24promised you.”
