Ephesians 5:26-33

26 1so that He might sanctify her, having 2cleansed her by the 3washing of water with 4the word,

27that He might 5present to Himself the church 6in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be 7holy and blameless.

28So husbands also ought to 8love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself;

29for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,

30because we are 9parts of His 10body.

31 11For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

32This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

33Nevertheless, as for you individually, each husband is to 12love his own wife the same as himself, and the wife must see to it that she 13respects her husband.
