Ephesians 4:9-13
9(Now this expression, “He 1ascended,” what 2does it mean except that He also 3had descended into 4the lower parts of the earth?
10He who descended is Himself also He who ascended 5far above all the heavens, so that He might 6fill all things.)
11And He 7gave 8some as apostles, some as prophets, some as 9evangelists, some as 10pastors and 11teachers,
1212for the equipping of the 13saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of 14the body of Christ;
13until we all attain to 15the unity of the faith, and of the 1617knowledge of the Son of God, to a 18mature man, to the measure of the stature 19which belongs to the 20fullness of Christ.
