Ephesians 2:4-22

4But God, being 1rich in mercy, because of 2His great love with which He loved us, 5even when we were 3dead 4in our wrongdoings, made us alive together 5with Christ (6by grace you have been saved), 6and 7raised us up with Him, and 8seated us with Him in 9the heavenly places in 10Christ Jesus, 7so that in the ages to come He might show the 11boundless 12riches of His grace in 13kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8For 14by grace you have been saved 15through faith; and 16this is not of yourselves, it is 17the gift of God; 918not a result of works, so that 19no one may boast. 10For we are His workmanship, 20created in 21Christ Jesus for 22good works, which God 23prepared beforehand so that we would 24walk in them.

11Therefore remember that 25previously 26you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “27Uncircumcision” by the so-called “28Circumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands-- 12remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, 2930excluded from 31the people of Israel, and strangers to 32the covenants of the promise, having 33no hope and 34without God in the world. 13But now in 35Christ Jesus you who 36previously were 37far away 38have 39been brought near 4041by the blood of Christ. 14For He Himself is 42our peace, 43who made both groups into one and broke down the 44barrier of the dividing wall, 1545by 46abolishing 47in His flesh the hostility, which is 48the Law composed of commandments expressed in ordinances, so that in Himself He might 4950make the two 51one new person, in this way establishing 52peace; 16and that He might 53reconcile them both in 54one body to God through the cross, 55by it having 56put to death the hostility. 17And 57He came and preached 58peace to you who were 59far away, and peace to those who were 60near; 18for through Him we both have 61our access in 62one Spirit to 63the Father. 19So then you are no longer 64strangers and foreigners, but you are 65fellow citizens with the 66saints, and are of 67God’s household, 20having been 68built on 69the foundation of 70the apostles and prophets, 71Christ Jesus Himself being the 72cornerstone, 2173in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into 74a holy 75temple in the Lord, 22in whom you also are being 76built together into a 77dwelling of God in the Spirit.
